There is still room for improvement, but I definitely like the flight model of some helicopters and find it good. I haven’t tried them all yet, but so far in my opinion the flight model of the Carenado R 66 is very good, my favorite. The Asobo H 125 helicopter is also realistic and pleasant to fly. The Bell 407 helicopter from Nemeth Design is still not good, the developer simply can’t find the right flight model. You can’t do basic helicopter turns with it, it behaves completely differently.
Hate to rain on your parade, but the dreaded pinnacle bug (see [Helicopter] Abrupt induced yaw when flying over edge of elevated helipad) is back in 2024. This is when you fly over the edge of an elevated landing pad, and depending on the altitude difference, you’re shot violently up in the air, spinning wildly. Try a hospital rooftop helipad.
The worst (and most telling thing about the QA at Asobo) is this bug was already fixed in 2020 SU15. I’m just so frustrated that had no motivation yet to report it, although Dave at Hype Performance said he’s going to take care of it.
@pvaiko1203 You’re right, I agree. Actually, all heliports are unusable because of this. I don’t understand how a previously fixed bug can reappear. It’s ridiculous. I don’t want to offend the Asbo developer, but they’re making new bugs, which is amazing, very amateurish.
I would be grateful if you would report the bug in a bug ticket, attaching a video to it. I would report it, but unfortunately I don’t speak English well, and I don’t want the bug to be worded incorrectly. In my opinion, this should be reported as soon as possible, because this is a very big bug.
Your English is very good (egyébként is ugyanaz az anyanyelvünk
), but I can write that bug report up if you add the videos.
Thats because they copy and paste a lot of things. The amount of obvious bugs that MSFS 2024 shipped with is astounding. I mean basic things on launch didn’t work like being able to simply power up the basic Cessna without pressing the magical CNTRL-E. I guess they tested this on an XBOX and that’s it.
I mean trying to type something into the EFB will trigger whatever those underlying keys are mapped to. I can’t imagine how this was missed. If you make a mistake with an airport name and need to backspace when typing that into the EFB flight plan, the game executes whatever those keys are bound do. In this case, backspace toggles between cockpit and external view so backspacing over a typo also switches your view. Idiots. I’d hate to have something obscure mapped to a key only to not realize that typing the airport code KORD into the EFB will turn off your lights, engine, fuel pumps or whatever the hell else you natively have mapped to the letters K O R D in settings because Asobo were too dumb to stop keyboard input to the sim and only use the input for the text box that you’re filling in.. Amateurs..
