The frame drop at the arrival airport has been severe since a few days ago.
When I tested it, it has nothing to do with FSLTL.
It’s an airport with 50 to 60 frames when entering from the main menu, but it’s falling to 25 to 35 frames at the arrival airport while flying.
Also, this phenomenon is happening in all flights.
What do you think?
I think there’s plenty said about fps drop here (3000+ posts):
I think it’s different from the problem.
I think SU9’s bug was fixed in SU10.
It happens not only in long-haul flights, but also in short-haul flights of about an hour.
All of this has been happening since three or four days ago, and there are people talking about the same symptoms in my flight forum who enjoy flying together.
Well airports are heavier to render.
as to “it has nothing to do with FSLTL”. If you are using FSLTL then you are also using some sort of online traffic (No?) which does effect performance. Rendering all those planes and their liveries certainly don’t come for free
I have the same “feeling”.
It seems to me that I get stutters if I’m about to land at an airport that MSFS “knows” is my destination, either because it’s in my flight plan or because I’ve contacted the tower requesting permission to land.
But if I fly or land at the same airport, either flying low buzzing the tower or landing in radio silence, then I don’t get any stutters.
I know it sounds crazy. But it has always happened to me .
Happened to me for the first time yesterday…without “telling” MSFS where I was headed…I usually book in the departure airport from the world menu, then proceed using Simbrief data to my destination. EGLL to EDDH, (both payware), with PMDG 737-800 was yesterday with FSLTL on. It occurred as I passed over the Kent coast whilst still climbing. I will cross check today - same flight, no FSLTL
It really is!
I’ve often found, recently, that my fps plummet when approaching the south coast of Blighty from mid-channel. Seems to improve at roughly the same spot in the opposite direction. Doesn’t happen all the time. Seems to be random.
The flight went without a hitch - no FSLTL and I maintained >30fps. I did, however, follow the graphics settings guidelines that Q8pilot recently posted and used DX12 with TAA…Next flight will be the same again but with FSLTL…
I want to see the post of DX12 and TAA in Q8pilot.
Please give me a link.
Did the settings in that video help the fps drop issue?? I too am experiencing this issue. Everything was great but within the last week on short haul and even long haul flights my fps hit like 10-13 when getting to the arrival and landing.
FSLTL on and even off I get this dump in fps. Never was like this and only thing that has changed is I have actually turned down graphics.
I have exactly the same issue.
Departure Zurich 50 fps.
Arriving Basel 6 fps.
This start happening since today.
There is always something with FS2020.
Or maybe I am unlucky.
It spoils the fun.
I had very good performance at SU9, SU10 beta (first update) even better !
With the full release SU10 i just can’t enjoy landing..
its just choppy 10-15-20 fps stuttery mess.
I tried everything. Reinstalling, no community folder clutter, differentent airport, different airplanes, weathers, time of day, no traffic with traffic, no cache, with cache, there is no change.
Regular issue like that since SU10 only.
FSLTL cause freeze and stutters during the load of liveries and models at departure and arrival, but stop when all is in place (that can cause difficult landings at busy airports)
But sometimes there is a huge fps drops (5 fps or lower) mostly at arrivals but once in flight too. It’s always with “heavy” planes like PMDG 737 or, yesterday, with the Boeing 247.
I have same issue, stutter made me can not control pmdg738 properly during final approach, ruin my whole flight.
