ISSUE DESCRIPTION

The World Photographer mission ‘The Long Man on the Hill’ (also listed as ‘Long Man of Wilmington’) fails to complete its 3rd star requirement which is:

“Live time and weather can be set in the flight conditions”

Assuming that means visit with Live time and weather activated, it fails to trigger.
If anyone has a workaround I’d love to read it, this is my last glyph for the set. :grimacing:

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time, I’ve tried six times on different days, different aircraft and in and outside of World Photographer mode.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Open the world photographer ‘The Long Man on the Hill’ quest.
  2. Set live weather & time
  3. Land.
  4. Walk over
  5. Take a close-up shot
  6. Fail

Issue persists with current SimUpdate 1 Beta as for February 8th 2025.

If Microsoft/Asobo cannot fix this in the foreseeable future, maybe some developer from them can quickly post here what the missing objective is? This would be kind.

I can confirm the same bug on the 15th Feb

I am happy to report that this bug has been fixed in SU 2 beta (1.4.7.0), although I don’t find it explicitly mentioned in the release notes.

The solution to the riddle is … drum roll … it has to be a summer day (live time).
So let’s wait another 3 months. :sleeping_face:

Anyway, I appreciate the fix and other mentioned fixes done to the WP objectives, even if it’s “only” a beta for now.

Maybe I am doing sth wrong but it’s mid August and using live weather on Sim Update 3. The bug seems to be still present, I am unable to get the star for “summer day”.

Got it. The trick is not to use “Live” in the weather tab but “Custom” and then set the date and use “live weather” and “real time”..
