The mighty Vulcan is out for MSFS from Just flight

Finally 1.2 version is available on 2024 (I’m on SU2 beta).

Vulcan v1.3 has not made it to SimMarket yet.

Edit: Still not on SimMarket, got the Hawk update really quickly, but no Vulcan update yet.

So far the Vulcan is excellent in 2020 but still the older version so no update yet.
In 2024 the Vulcan is in my hanger and is not Dev approved yet. I enabled the Vulcan but will not load in properly on XboxX so not flyable yet :+1:

Last week we approved the PC version of the Vulcan (v1.3) for release on MSFS 2024 Marketplace, so hopefully that’ll happen this week.

We are expecting to have the Xbox version available for testing early this week, so it’s possible that might also be released later this week, if testing goes OK.

Thanks Martyn. I do hope it flies in 2024 on XboxX as good as it flies in 2020. I think 2024 has a long way to go on Xbox
I also hope we at least get the updated version on 2020 :+1::grin:

Yes, we should have the latest Vulcan update available for testing on MSFS 2020 Marketplace (PC/Xbox) early this week, so hopefully that’ll be released later this week too.

v1.3 Vulcan still not up at SimMarket ? …or am I missing something ?

Edit: Just arrived at SimMarket

I was considering treating myself to a new Just Flight aircraft for Easter. If I purchase it for 2020 will I get 2024 version at no extra cost because I don’t want to buy anything for 2024 at the moment till the sim is more stable on XboxX :+1:

This new autopilot coupling I can’t seem to get to work on the Xbox? Do you mean that we should be able to use the ap functions on the new G3X or that the “normal autopilot” interacts with the G3X?

Vulcan upgrade’s live on the 2024 marketplace!

Just did a test flight with the Vulcan from Cold and Dark on 2024 and everything worked ok on XboxX.

No photogrammetry !
No live traffic !
No live weather ! ( at the moment I keep these turned off anyway till 2024 is optimised better. )

One thing I didn’t do is setup a Vulcan controller profile on my TBV1 Flight as I’m flying with basic controller setup’s for all my aircraft again till 2024 is de-bugged a bit more,

Nice to have the Vulcan in 2024, good job Just Flight. :+1:

I flew the Vulcan for the first time in a few weeks today, and noticed the previous issue of flight plans loaded from the World Map in FS2020 not showing in the Vulcan’s GPS appears to now be corrected. However, they still don’t show in the VFR map. But that’s less of a problem if I can at least see them in the GPS.

Leaving Las Vegas in the Vulcan earlier today. KLSV to PHNL is a looong way - I managed to take on some fuel using Airshow Assistant somewhere over the Pacific - now THAT was hard. Broke a few hoses but got it done eventually!

Edit: I was also relieved that my dead-reckoning got me across large stretches of the Pacific once I was out of VOR / TACAN range!

Try Celestial Navigation next time over a stretch of water…

Is that actually doable in MSFS?!

Been playing around with the Vulcan again, this time for some screenshot fun!

Yes, with my add-on…

Yes, the star positions are accurate for date and time. You do need to have your clock showing the right reference time though to know your longitude.

Consider me intrigued! I might try this out next time my alternative is dead-reckoning!

Another Vulcan screenshot - this time in anti-flash white, up above the clouds!

The Vulcan found some little friends!
