The mighty Vulcan is out for MSFS from Just flight

Beautifully done! Thank you for sharing the screenshots.

Anyone know anything about this? Does the new gps have an autopilot or is it just “a new screen”?

The GPS doesn’t feature an autopilot. The Vulcan has its own authentic autopilot and there are also simplified controls on the EFB tablet.

Thank you for the answer, it just confused me that the changelog said “coupled”

By the way, i would like to add a request if possible. Would it be possible in the future to add a noise cancelling feature? Could be “helmet on/helmet off”? For me personally it is a very noisy plane on long flights and to enable msfs headphone thing is an immersion killer.

Thx in advance

Best regards from denmark

Yes, whilst we can’t commit to anything just yet, noise cancelling is a feature that we’re looking to include in updates for our aircraft in the future.

OOo i want to buy it !

I am interested in the Vulcan but how is VFR and VR flying with it with the limited views from the windows? A hindrance?

Not really. Just a new challenge! It’s definitely different. Totally doable tho. Flies great by hand.

Looking for some kind of speedy jet and the Vulcan or the Hawk are high on the list!

You would probably have more “fun” in the Hawk. The Vulcan is pretty agile at lower speeds but really really heavy when going fast. It only wants to go straight!

When using a VOR (and “Loc” Mode) - how can I know I fly FROM or TO the station? The beam compass doesn’t provide any indicator. Near the station you can infer the direction from the DME (actual bearing and change of distance) - but is that the only way?

Maybe someone can help

I’ve just returned to the Vulcan after some time away
just wanted to say what I already knew but had forgotten - this is a magnificently done aircraft, well done Just Flight!

Hi, I cant get this to work, do you have any ideas?

The model currently (MSFS2024) has a rather serious problem: uneven aileron deflection. It’s very sudden on the right, but fine on the left. This is visible not only on the external model but also on the stick itself – in this case, in the video, I’m using the same force, speed, and angle of the stick. As you can see, it responds well to the left for this class of aircraft (quite sluggish), but to the right it’s immediate, jerky, and overly sensitive.

More importantly, this clearly affects the Avro Vulcan’s FM: it turns correctly to the left, but to the right it behaves like a light jet with excess power. The roll rate to the left is fine, but to the right it’s too sensitive. It’s hard to say what happened, if this is a new bug, but it’s possible that a patch changed the roll rate behavior here, and JF didn’t notice and didn’t fix it. The roll rate for both sides should be the same.

The issue was noticed not only by me, in December last year, but this bug still exists  :

The model desperately needs an update as this is a rather serious problem. Please fix it, thank you!

@NORTMAR

I recorded another video showing the problem on external view. The stick’s deflection remains the same (joystick), say around 30 degrees, and quite slowly. It’s clear that the Vulcan reacts somewhat slowly and slowly to the left, which is a good thing. However, if the deflection is the same, or even smaller (sometimes just a slight movement of the joystick to the right is enough), the Vulcan immediately starts moving strongly to the right (too sensitive to the right). The roll rate for both directions isn’t the same.

Man, I had almost talked to myself into getting this bird on this sale! It’s one I have thought about on and off for a while, but this does put me off just a bit. What is just flight’s record as far as updating aircraft? I feel like I would notice this and it would be a problem for me. It’s not an aircraft I would fly a whole lot probably but it just looks so darn cool! Such a hard decision and only a few hours to go.

I waited a long time for the Hawk to be fixed. However, it is such an iconic aircraft and the sounds are great.

Difficult choice, depends really on how much you want it in your hanger.

I bought it yesterday and it’s good, go for it!

Any chance you’d be able to tell me if it has an auto pilot? And better yet on autopilot that works with PMS50s 750?
