The new Moza Force Feedback Yoke

Enjoy. Takes a while to dial in to personal taste but it is great for the money imho.

Has anyone in the US seen any movement on their order yet? I have received my desk clamps… but nothing on the base and yoke handle as yet.

My interest in this was renewed when I saw a video on it which covered the new ā€œtelemetry trimā€ which follows the autopilot.

I don’t think there is another FFB device that does this. It’s still beta software though, so we’ll have to wait to see how it develops.

You think beta is safe?

CLS 60 does that too!

Ah, I didn’t know that. Thanks!

And VPForce

VPForce appears to be for the Rhino stick, from a cursory search?

Yep, but there are some folks DIY’ing yokes using the same motors.

Anyone know why I would get grinding as I’m going through full aileron motion. The resistance and grinding comes in set points which I just realized coincide with the axis travel circles in the settings.
I fooled around with the settings of the base and noticed the only setting that seems related to the grinding is the ā€œspring setting.ā€ If I turn it off completely then I can still feel only subtle bumps in the areas where it would normally grind. I can feel and hear grinding at about setting 25.

The ā€œoverall force feedback intensityā€ also affects it but I’m assuming that affects everything. If I turn this setting to 0 then I do not feel any bumps (with spring setting still at 70).
I’ve updated to .45 firmware and calibrated. During calibration it don’t hear grinding.
Moza told me to update firmware 2 days ago but haven’t got anything back from them since.
Waited over 2 months for delivery. What a buzzkill.

I don’t have this yoke but my fried does. Have you also done the cogging calibration (as well as the axis calibration)?

Ya many times. Even the center reset calibration. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Mine is on the way to me now. Hopefully only with growing pains..

Hopefully no issues. Let me know soon as you can. If it’s only my yoke then likely some kind of damage. I would think they would test each unit. If they did maybe shipping damage.

I have the AY210 with their yoke - but cannot get it to work all the time with MSFS 2024.
Sometimes it works flawlessly, other times the ffb does not function at all.
On some occasions it start off working fine, then the ffb function stops altogether (roll/aileron axes still work fine, as do the buttons and switches).
I have tried with MCLS option both on and then off - this seems to make no difference.
Should the MCLS option be on? Or leave it switched off?
Anyone have any clues to help me with this annoying problem please?
All and any comments welcomed!
To clarify, I always turn the base unit/yoke on, then load Moza Cockpit, then choose the profile for MSFS 2024, then load up MSFS 2024 itself.
Is this the correct sequence? Or am I getting this wrong at the outset?
Regards, to all, Alasdair (aka FlyBasher…)

I have the yoke too and it generally works ok for me every time using the same sequence you have mentioned, though I cannot get the hardware trim to work at all - Trimming seems to do exactly the same thing as it did with my honeycomb (Not relieving yoke pressure as I’d expect). One oddity I’ve noticed is that the MOZA cockpit software seems to randomly reset some settings (Like the aforementioned hardware trim setting) so i find myself having to reset this quite regularly before start up. Could it be that your force feedback gain is changing/defaulting to a value that’s so low you don’t notice the ffb? I have mine between 170 and 250 generally.

Thx for the reply and useful info.
I will check the settings in the software to see if it has changed.
As a matter of interest, do you have MCLS turned on or not?
Glad to hear my sequence of turning on etc. is not to blame!
Regards, A

If you are losing telemetry, make sure you are on the latest firmware and cockpit version. If it happens again, you can try switching to Cockpit, and switch telemetry modes between telemetry and integrated - this should bring the telemetry back.

Noted - thank you. I will look into this idea further.
