The PMDG 777 Liveries

I forgot to say that the problem with the texture starts after entering the cockpit (Ctrl=C) when loading a new flight.

We are happy to announce that ten livery packs (for B777 and B738) are now available on the Microsoft Marketplace. For more information: https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/387222-livery-packs-for-777-and-737-now-available-on-marketplace

I suggest contacting our support department, BrawnierHook18, I am sure they can sort that out with you. Do make sure you let them if you are using FS2020 otr FS2024!

The wires are getting crossed somewhere.

The $0.00 price is not available for us and seems to be there for updates.

All our liveries are free for everybody on the Windows platform, and we would really like to extend that same service to Xbox (and soon PS5) users. At this moment, it is not possible. So this is not a decision we made, but something the Marketplace dictates.

Oh! Sorry for not specifying the simulator version.
I’m using 2024.
Is it okay to create a thread with my question on the PMDG forum?
Or would it be better to contact support directly?

Sincerely, thank you for your reply.

I don’t even know if this is worth addressing)))))) BUT!
I serviced the plane using a tablet and the textures are now working properly!)))))) Except for one wheel))))
So that’s how it is…

I’ve opened a bug report on PMDG’s behalf:

Going off the list on the post still No Air NZ 777? unbelievable it’s the best looking one the all black 777

So which Oceania carrier did we get for the 777W?

Silence is deafening on this. Plus the marketplace update notes that the liveries were okayed for release just 2 days ago. Definitely feels like someone’s telling fibs

It’s been a real exercise in patience this, but I for one am very happy with the huge number of liveries and quite a few very interesting ones in the packages.

Even though the are some notably absent ones (Garuda 737, Japan Airlines 737/777, China Southern 772), the ones present will open up tons of routes.

Let’s hope valuable lessons were learned from the whole ordeal by all parties involved.

Bravoairspace has already upgraded several of their 2020 livery packs into 2024 versions at no cost (the old ones didn’t work with the new default airliner models), and Miltech’s separate Chinook livery pack also received a free upgrade after their version of the chopper got its 2024 update.

To my understanding, the reason why a tiny dev like Bravoairspace can offer them for free on the MP is because he is upgrading his existing 2020 packs, not making new ones for 2024. Of course you need to own the 2020 versions of the liveries and new customers still see the upgraded 2024 version with the normal price tag, but that’s already much better than buying everything twice.

As the evidence keeps piling up, it’s important to remember that PMDG are the good guys here, wrongfully singled out as the lone developer not allowed to use these consumer-friendly features.

That there is a blistering hot take… I wish I could have your faith in people

Surely they wouldn’t lie to their faithful customers.

Small correction: The livery pack for the Miltech Chinook was also by Bravoairspace. Miltech themselves have so far only promised to upgrade their own Osprey livery pack using that same Bravoairspace method to avoid charging us twice. Their 2024 Aircraft upgrades have been free so it’s definitely possible they’ll do the right thing.

What I’m saying is that the 2020 livery packs can receive free 2024 upgrades just like the aircraft can. It’s strange that PMDG was allowed to do this with the 777-300ER, but not with any of the 777 or 737 livery packs.

Another possibility is to bundle the liveries and then offer a bundle discount, no need to do a dubious day one sale. Because I own all but one of the Bravoairspace packs for the default A320, the last one costs about 1€. The discount also works if you buy them all at once. People have brought up several methods to lower the cost for new buyers, and zero euros is already possible for the 2024 upgrade.

It’s the usual miscommunication

There is a 777 Asia/oceania livery pack, with no Oceania liveries. Hoping the worlds safest airline in 2024, that operates 10 77Ws gets added in later

I got laughed at by RSR then banned over at the PMDG forums for suggesting this

They know all these things are possible.

The livery scam on xbox is really starting to get old. I bought them once and didn’t say anything, but now their excuses are wearing thin. I can’t believe they ignored the free upgrade path and made new packs instead.

Where there’s a will…..

Unfortunately what we have here is a won’t.
