The tree issue; a FS2020 flaw now, lamentably, repeated in FS2024

Coogan. Thank you for your thoughts, Coogan.

Yes. I’d agree re “Trees too big in general” though one saving grace, perhaps is that over time, official sources and other 3rd party developers like Bijan may continue to contribute to and address the frustrating tree related issues.

NOTE: Later today I’ll be purchasing Bijan’s 2024 edition of Season Enhancements as an act of commercial support for his work whether it actually enhances my own locale or not, (and, even without yet seeing or experiencing his efforts prior), and would encourage other M.S simmers to do likewise because this particular failing of the 2024 rendition of the simulator could really benefit from having this visually damaging phenomenon properly addressed.

With the SAVE .FLT feature emasculated and various horrendous apparitions manifesting across the whole of planet earth, (including the recent “floating white cliffs of Dover” issue here in the UK), could I be forgiven for assuming Asobo’s offering is now more game than actual simulator? Unless such a cynical initiative is being promoted wilfully to expand sales by consciously making the product less sim on purpose to make the tills happy?

Interesting, (later), point, Coogan, re the textures, colours and depth of field points you raised further down the thread.

Hi CleverExpert0. “I just ignore them”, you herald … but errant trees either deviating from their evolutionary remit or wilfully photo bombing an otherwise already perfectly natural scenario or environment is not helping the sim earn, deliver or maintain its boastful “digital twin Earth technology” claim.

Yes. I’ve invested in Patriot Six tuition via YouTube in the past and agree, wrestling with the SDK is, likely, going to be my ultimate , long term solution.

Thank you, HugeMercury163, for the reassurance regarding the Community Folder reminder. Appreciated. As stated prior, I’m buying Bijan’s add on although, for reasons of self fulfilment, would prefer to address my own issues rather than farm them out for others to solve.

That’s funny, Vainerhawk73. The Toronto “world’s tallest tree” claim presented to The Guinness Book of Records certainly looks authentic.

And thank you, MeusMagister, RagingWombat839 and MuckyMe for your amusing or insightful comments also.
