You promised May 5 will release AAU4, including ATRs. But at the LAST minute, you say it’s DELAYED just only for freaking PS5. How unrespectful to us customers. This is THE WORST announcement I’ve ever seen, keeping people guessing until last minute on release day is not okay and is outright disrespectful to your customers.
Please just be honest and up front when issues rear their heads at the last minute, most of us understand that software development has last minute hitches, but leaving everyone in the dark is pretty poor. NEVER AGAIN.
Their explanation is that the planes aren’t ready. I think you’re interpreting something into their announcement that they didn’t say? As of now there is no real reason to doubt their explanation
There is no reason to believe it’s in any way tied to the PS5. I really don’t understand where you got this idea from?
As of right now it seems like the planes are just not ready. There are no core sim changes associated with this update. These are just planes, like a marketplace release.
Our announcement did not mention anything about the delay being due to PS5. I’m not sure where you heard that, but it isn’t correct.
One of the five aircraft updates that is part of AAU_04 (Fokker F.VII) is ready and has already been released. The other four require a little bit more polish until they’re ready. We’re excited to get these remaining four aircraft updates into the hands of our player community and will release them as soon as they’re good to go.
The ATR is not ready. Period.
They would be insane to release it half baked whilst SU5 bricks itself for many users
How many half baked items in public hands do you want?
Finish and fix SU5 bugs which have come to light last few days, then move onto AAU4 and then move onto these AC is the sensible approach.
I agree 100% and I think the same approach needs to be taken with future SIM updates too. SU5 wasn’t ready but was released anyway, and I’m sure the whole PS VR thing was the main reason. But now it’s completely broken the sim for PS5 players instead! I really couldn’t care less if an update is delayed, as I would rather have a stable sim than a broken one.
