I believe the stock EFB platform to still be one of the more underutilized elements of MSFS 2024 and while a few developers have taken advantage of it, I would love to see more. Starting this thread to discuss and allow for users to share some of their favorite third-party EFB apps as well as ideas for developers to create new ones. I’ll start:
EFB apps I currently have:
Navigraph Charts
SimBrief Dispatch
Bushtalk Radio
Fenix
Carenado
EFB apps wishlist:
Toolbar Pushback (or generally any EFB app that would offer universal control over any/all ground services)
GSX
PMS50 GTN750 (they’ve already said this is prohibitively difficult and not happening, but it’s still a wishlist item for me this would be especially great for aircraft with the EFB modeled in the cockpit but don’t have the GTN750 modeled on the instrument panel)
Multiplayer map (obviously better integrated into the default map for the Flight Planner app)
All aircraft-specific EFB functions (iniBuilds, JustFlight, Miltech, etc. - follow the leads of devs like Fenix, Carenado, and A2A who have already begun doing this)
And of course to go along with all of this, having a segment of the Marketplace offering these EFB apps (including ones for free - a stretch, I know) so console users could also access them (where functionally possible) would be fantastic.
You would load them via the Community folder like other addons - the SimBrief EFB app works this way already if you’re installing it without the Navigraph hub.
You are missing Sky4Sim - probably the best ‘efb style’ app out there, now fits inside MSFS EFB. Road, terrain maps, Simbrief integration and much more. I never fly without it. (VR)
