Ok so this is a good simulator, even though it has some problems and i’m sure they will fix it, we shall see but what i would have done also with this Simulator if i was in charge of developing this so customers don’t have to add 3rd party addons to have these features and what i would have added is:
#1 the ability to play co-op mode where your friends or what ever can be in your aircraft and join in and be a co-pilot or maybe be an instructor to help new people trying to learn how to fly.
#2 have the feature that FLTPLAN GO GPS does, this is a third party program and what it does is allow you to connect to your Flightsim using a tablet or phone live, and allow you to create flight plans , what it has is:
- Free web-based flight planning
- Certified weather
- Airport & FBO Info
- Up-to-date fuel prices for more than 4,500 FBOs
- NavLogs
- Map Builder for viewing routes, weather, and more
- Nearby Airport Information
- FBO Fax Briefings and Passenger Briefings
- Quick flight info
- Planned ATC routes & EDCTs with email notifications
- Geo-referenced approach plates for the U.S. and Canada
- Enroute/Sectional charts.
- Aircraft performance information
- Weight & Balance
- eLogbook
- Checklists
- Account sharing of navlogs and weather
Now this is something i would have added to the software of MFS2020, make it part of that and in fact, maybe have 4 levels of the software, 1 The Standard Edition ,The Deluxe Edition, Premium Deluxe Edition, and the Ultra Edition that would also give you the features i mentioned above.
they could have charged $200.00 for the ultra, and they would have got it.
This FLTPLAN Go is great, I can fly on VATSIM and if i’m at an airport i never been to, i could use the FLTPLANGO software looking on my tablet or phone and see where my aircraft is.
You can see a map from above view of the airport with the runways taxi ways and everything else, and you can even use the pen tool to draw a line to where your route will be, so you can see where for example taxi way ECHO, to FOXTROT connects and where they are, saves you a ton of time, i use this constantly.
Another feature i would have added is the better flight planner that allows you to type in your own waypoints and even on a map use the mouse to move the route line like you can do in Skyvector, just make it a bit more enhanced and able to edit it while your at the airport after you clicked on fly.
the way it is now you can’t you would have to go into your FMC and edit it from there.
i also would have added better training missions where you can learn how to use the FMC computers
in your aircraft and learn how it works, i would have put that in there as well.
As i said they could have gotten almost double the money for this if they enhanced it more, and with out much more software work. 3rd party developers created these pretty fast…
Also my #1 Gripe is they didn’t add the 737-800 in the aircraft list, i mean HELLO, this is the most popular and used aircraft, and always been in all the Simulator’s ever created. I mean why leave that
aircraft out?
That question is beyond me why they did that…
I’m sure PDMG will create one for MFS2020 but it will take time and will cost around $170.00 US
but they create kick ■■■ aircraft no doubt.
just search for fltplango on google it will come up.
