“Interceptor” by FS Academy has been released for MSFS 2024. As a flight instructor, I can say that it is an extremely useful program designed for home simulator use. Along with the other products from FS Academy, a student pilot can clearly understand the path toward becoming a real pilot—a journey that requires extensive knowledge, practice, and experience. With MSFS 2024, FS Academy’s training programs, and this latest product, a student pilot can learn many things at home—without spending money—that would normally require in-aircraft training or formal instruction, preparing them to apply their knowledge in a real aircraft. “Interceptor” is a highly advanced program that can be extremely beneficial for instrument rating students.
Interceotor is available in MSFS 2024 Marketplace, bu it is not possible to buy it (when click “Buy”, basically nothing happen. After about 5 min I quit. This happened several times today). What is wrong ?
I don’t know the reason. For me, the purchase process went smoothly without any issues. Maybe something went wrong at the moment you tried to buy it on the Marketplace. Try again and see if it works.
I have done 2 modules. The “instructors” voice is very patient and well modulated. I found them interesting and at a pace that was acceptable. The one thing I could NOT find was a PAUSE button. There were no basic instructions prior to starting that I could notice anywhere. If there is in fact no pause button, I would recommend in an update that one is added. SOmetimes you need to leave the sim to attend to something else. Are we able to set a keybind in this?
What platform are you using? Steam, MS Store, Xbox? (You might want to add that to your profile)
In case of Steam, have a look at the FAQs, they list a few things to check. Main problem for a lot of people is the Steam Overlay being disabled.
So far I’ve only seen one short video showcasing it, looks promising. The announcement video from FS Academy, unfortunately, doesn’t show anything at all. There might be others, haven’t looked so far.
I have enjoyed a lot of the FS Academy add-ons for MSFS 2020 (and would love to use them on 2024, too, even with an upgrade price). 30 bucks for the “Interceptor” is a lot, but it might be worth a purchase.
BTW, I can’t be the only one who thought of something completely different seeing “Interceptor” …
I find the whole game and the performance problematic. Once the game is in a state that is sufficient for me to leave 2020 behind I will try Interceptor for sure
Thanks, I have bought it. What I could not find was a PAUSE button - If I press P on keyboard it doesnt recognise it. Is it just a case of bindings or do you have a pause elswhere? A training booklet would go well alongside this to expand video knowledge, which so far I have found good.
Thanks for that, I am impressed with how structured it is, and strict! The narrators voice hits the right spot - he’s very good and makes you feel comfortable and unrushed. I think all beginners will benefit immensly. Just wish I had it when I started out in MSFS2024!
