Throttle control bug in Pilatus PC-24 with Xbox Controller (MFS 2024)
Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing a serious issue with the Pilatus PC-24 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 while using an Xbox controller. With other aircraft like the Cirrus Vision Jet or the CJ4, everything works fine — I use A to increase throttle and B to decrease, and the controls respond normally.
However, with the PC-24:
Pressing A or B alone does nothing.
The only way to increase throttle is by pressing RB + A, and it only works while holding both buttons. If I release either, the throttle drops back to zero.
If I press RB first, then A, the throttle jumps to TOGA and gets stuck, but then pressing A or B again brings the throttle all the way down to zero.
I tried reassigning the throttle to RT and other buttons — still doesn’t work.
I also reset controls to default, but the issue remains.
Oddly enough, when I move the throttle using the mouse, the lever stays in place, but the thrust indicator stays stuck at 0%, even though the aircraft is clearly accelerating.
I’ve tested this both in Career Mode and in Free Flight Mode, and the issue is exactly the same.
So it’s not due to damaged systems or a need to repair the aircraft — even in Free Flight, where everything should work normally, the throttle bug persists.
This issue only happens with the Pilatus PC-24, so it seems like a bug related to throttle input mapping or FADEC integration for this specific aircraft.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Is there a known fix or workaround?
This is a well known should I say ignored issue please vote leave your feedback at the link below , not sure why they have moved this here because they clearly know about this issue which has been around for some time now, they even had the cheek to release this on to the market place with a game breaking issue in the throttles.
Yes I’ve had the same issue and it’s annoying because I’ve got 3 of these planes in career mode and can’t make money with them and also paid actual money for the plane in the first place. Used to work fine, but after the second big update, the plane is useless smh
I’m angry! I saved some money to buy this plane, since the prices are in dollar and it ends up being expensive for those who live in Brazil, and apparently this problem has been going on for MONTHS! How dare Microsoft SELL a defective product? I’m going to complain and get my money back.
Same here, bought it a few months back because I love the aircraft, can’t fly it due to the throttle glitch. Would prefer to have it fixed vs wanting a $25 refund.
Yes! The throttle bug is finally resolved. And it flies like a dream and just floats. Very nice aircraft. But I ended up buying the Aviator edition and guess I made a donation to the cause.
What could I be doing wrong? I use an Xbox controller with my PC, but for the PC-24, the throttle won’t respond to my A button. I can use RB + A to max the throttle immediately, RB + B to go neutral immediately and if the throttle is at max position, I can also use the B button to immediately go neutral as well, but there is nothing in between.
