I was flying with a TBM yesterday. TCA Sidestick and Honeycomb Bravo and the problem still persists.
Problem solved for me since last update. I use the full airbus a320 thrustmaster set
Warthog HOTAS and MFG pedals. Back to normal with SU4.
Issue appears resolved for me with SU4 update.
No axis reset to 50% after ESC with Virpil CM2 and CM3 throttles.
After the last update (nordics), it appears I have this problem…
Flying with the A320 Neo, putting the game on pause, then flaps at position 2 and speedbrake at 100% 
Other people having the same issue?
Sorry to hear that, since nobody else is reporting this it’s probably only on your end, maybe it’s specific to the peripherals or the aircraft you are using.
Since it’s not exactly the same issue, I would recommend creating a new thread with more information (your peripherals, your hardware, any mods you have installed) and you might get more help.
I had this problem a while ago. It was fixed but after the latest update it’s back. When un-pausing the game, throttle axis is at 50%. I’m using the Thrustmaster quadrant with add-on.
