hello, I own the whole Airbus Productline from Thrustmaster.
First I got the Quadrant, which worked great. after frew week, I added the Addon Flaps and Speedbrakes.
Today I want to calibrate the Throttle again and do I like the handbook said. But I did it with the Addons connected.
After that, My Flaps and Speedbrakes doesn´t work anymore. No axis on the speedbrake, only “on/off” Flaps are also not workling. Seems like no axis are detected
I try to reinstall all the software, install again, but it doesn´t work at all. Also Try to reinstall the Firmware.
Does anybody have a solution, or the same Problem?
The reason why your spoilers and flaps no longer register the axis is because the throttle takes into account all of the axis’s positions when you calibrate. So if you’re only moving the throttle, and not moving the spoilers and flaps, the throttle will take those static positions as the calibrated positions.
So when you calibrate with the addons attached. You have to calibrate the spoilers and the flaps at the same time with the throttles… So:
Throttle at TOGA, Spoilers Up, Flaps Up -> Press Red Buttons.
Throttle at MCT, Spoilers 1, Flaps 1 -> Press Red Buttons.
Throttle at CLB, Spoilers 2, Flaps 2 -> Press Red Buttons.
Throttle at IDLE, Spoilers 3, Flaps 3 -> Press Red Buttons.
Throttle at full REVERSE, Spoilers Full, Flaps Full -> Press Red Buttons.
Once that’s done press the two black buttons to complete the calibration process.
No problem, glad it works… Please select the answer as the solved answer so the topic can be closed and available for everyone with the same issue to solve.
I’m just gonna sit here and wait for the store where I live have the addons in stock… I envy those who already has one. Hahahaa.
Discoazul currently has the Add-On in stock and although they dispatched mine 10 days ago it’s stuck at their carriers due to Brexit/Covid freight movement problems :-(.
NO FUNCIONA
Entonces:
Acelerador en TOGA, Spoilers Up, Flaps Up → Presione los botones rojos.
Follow the post above, but the official PDF file has a missing step in step VII. Instead of finishing at the detent no. 4. You need to continue to do the same thing for detent number 5 before continuing with the rest of the steps.
You need to do this with both Flaps and Spoilers addons attached to the quadrant. And when you move the throttle for each detents, make sure you also move the spoilers and flaps lever at the same time to each detent as well.
I am still, after 50+ calibration attempts unable to get the flaps and speed brakes to register their full axis in the thrustmaster properties.
They are always either 50% or 100%.
I am moving them as part of the calibration procedure and have seen the various videos showing the process
connect with right fire button pressed
move all axis to upper position - hit both red buttons
move all 4 axis to detent - red buttons
once at full reverse / full flaps / full speed brake, press both fire buttons
this seems to configure the throttles, e.g. if i do strange things in the calibration it does effect the throttles. However no matter what the flaps and speed brakes stay at this behaviour
If you’re seeing the above after calibrating you need to uninstall the thrustmaster driver and reset the default windows joystick properties. I found this on another thread:
Turns out my original calibration before I added the Add-on Pack had stored settings in Windows that prevented the Flap and Spoiler axes from calibrating properly
The solution, in case anyone else encounters this, is to remove the driver software for the Quadrant, open the Joystick control panel (Windows-R, joy.cpl), select the TCA Quadrant, click Properties, and then the Settings tab, and click “Reset.” That deletes the old, bad calibration. Then unplug and re-plug the TCA quadrant and reinstall the drivers.
There is no option to “Set to solution” on the post I linked, since the topic was already set to solved in an earlier Thread level. I am not sure if I missed something, but I looked for such an option.
