Just an update after a few months of using my hall sensor modified Z axis as I showed above. It’s still going strong! Haven’t had to open it up or adjust anything.
The smoothness is of the axis now is really what does it for me. Much more fun flying around with my tail-twitchy taildragger. One day I’ll get some pedals I guess, but that’s not really needed for now, except for more immersion I guess. I get that from real aircraft anyway.
I still can’t believe how easy it was. The hardest bit was waiting for the parts to arrive.
