I noticed you don’t have the speedbreak assigned? Here are my bindings.
Nope, I intentionally remove the spoilers axis from being bound. The reason is because spoiler lever position will override auto-spoilers. So even if you arm the auto-spoiler, the spoilers never deploy because your spoiler lever is position at 0. That was the first thing I noticed when I use the black buttons like you to arm/disarm the spoiler but still use the spoiler lever as an axis. When I land, the spoiler never deploys even though it’s armed. That’s when I realised the axis positions take priority.
Same thing when I bound the first detent to arm the spoiler. If I arm it, it’s armed but my spoiler opens at 20% because the axis is triggering it, and it will stay that way even when I’m landing.
So to mitigate this, I remove the axis from being bound in the first place, so the spoiler position is entirely interpreted by the sim without any input coming from the spoiler lever.
Instead, I use the virtual buttons detents that’s activated based on the spoiler detents. At the up position, it triggers the virtual buttons that will engage the “Retract Spoilers”. At the first detent, I set it to the Set Auto Spoilers Arming. The third detent is still the Retract Spoilers, and the last detent will be the full spoilers deployment.
So when I want to arm the autospoiler, I move the spoiler lever into the first detent, arming it. (similar to how the Boeing arm the autospoiler by moving the spoiler into the arm position. Since there’s no axis overriding the position, the autospoiler will deploy on landing. And once I’m done with the spoiler, I just push it back to the up position and the command to disarm the auto-spoiler and retract it will trigger.
The only downside here is that I can only either full retract or full deploy and nothing in between. But since I never use anything in between anyway, I don’t need to use the axis. If I need speedbrake, I just fully deploy it, otherwise I fully retract it. If I want auto-spoilers, I just move it to the first detent to arm it, and the autospoiler will deploy correctly and I can move it back to the up position when I’m done.
Another added bonus.. no ESC issue on the spoilers.
I updated MSFS yesterday and then found that the Control profiles I setup for the thrustmaster are gone. I don’t know if the regular updates from FBW somehow deleted these or if it was the MSFS update. It’s impossible to accidentally delete these when in the Controls section, so I didn’t do it. Going through the screen shots I have and this thread I’ll be able to recreate but geez what a waste of time.
I just tried creating a new profile and it changed the name of the existing general aircraft profile I created a long time ago but did not create a new profile.
It’s unlikely though, since the control profiles are stored in the cloud with your Microsoft/Xbox account used to login to MSFS.
Did you try to check to make sure you’re still logged into the same account? And also try to unplug the TCA and plug them back in. Usually the sim needs to refresh the hardware connection and pulls the control profiles from the cloud.

I forgot about the arrow keys on each profile box. I’m guessing that they got switched from A320 to GA during the update. Since I fly A320 primarily I don’t change them often.
I need level 2 brain maintenance…

There you go.. hahaha, glad it works out for you now.
the same thing happens to me, because when my throttle is at 50 percent, it shows it being idle in the game. when i go lower that 50 percent, it then activates reverse thrust, when it shouldnt. im wondering if anyone can find a way to fix it.
What aircraft? FBW A32NX or other aircraft? Have you checked on your sensitivity curve? Have you tried adjusting the neutral point?
Nice work! Looks like a great solution which I would like to try… however…
I follow the same filepath as yours right to the last ‘slash’ but then cannot find a file by the same name as yours which contains these actual settings.
I can find a totally differently named file (which is evidently the one containing my personalised quadrant settings since I can see my customised file name in the header info within that settings file). This file has the Autobrake Hi/Lo/Med settings identical to yours (amongst many others settings) but there are no lines for the “KEY_SPOILERS_ARM_ON” (and KEY_SPOILERS_ARM_OFF") settings in this file (or in any of the other files in that directory).
So, this gives rise to two questions: (1) are the settings that have shown in your solution post just an excerpt of that file i.e. Do you also have a lot of other settings in this same file?); and (2) Do you know whether I could just insert the lines for your nifty spoiler/autobrake solution without screwing everything else up?
Hi all, I am using the FlyByWire A320, together with the TCA Sidestick/Quadrant/Add-on. Since a recent update of the development version the autobrakes are not working using the TCA-addon… I asked the devs and they said they cannot fix it because of how the autobrakes switch is set-up (basically from the A350). Does anyone has a solution for this?
Yeah, I noticed this too. I might try out to use slightly different autobrake bindings to see how they behave.
Yep, same here.
Good news, they have a fix underway: fix(hyd): autobrake key events handling for rotating knob type inputs by crocket63 · Pull Request #5290 · flybywiresim/a32nx (github.com)
Hi Community
I somehow “killed”
my TCA Q ENG 1&2 setting for the A32X FBW when I was creating a profile for the TBM930 ( mixture/Throttle) .
Can anyone pls. help me out with some jpg’s showing the assignment of the buttons
Thank you in advance
When you create a new profile for TB930 you can save it as a new profile. When you want to fly the A32NX again, just click on the arrows to cycle to a different profile that you setup previously.
yes I did create a individual TBM profile, but I something in my procedure went obviously wrong.
No Problem … got my solution ( remembered )
I can copy the default where all the buttons are assigned and work and adust Sensitivity to linear. The rest is done by the FBW EFB settings
for me it is with all aircraft, and with aircraft that dont have reverse thrust, idle would still be at half throttle
Just move the neutral point in the sensitivity curve.
From the Throttle Quadrant the Key 3 (Engine 1 switcher) wont work. In windows everythings work perfect, anyone know a solution ?
