80 seconds is about normal for me.
The variations are bizarre.
same for me
As soon as the login queue was fixed late on launch day, my load times were around 2:15. Today they are at 4:00. This is now the 5th day since launch and my load times have gone up every-single-day.
Now I know that my load times are well on the low side compared to a lot of others I’m seeing but it’s the trend that has me concerned. I’d be interested to hear if anyone else sees a trend either +ve or -ve, it would be good to hear if some people are experiencing diminishing load times, it would give me reason to hope…
I am getting just shy of 10 min to startup to main menu.
Its not my internet speed as I get 700mbps download as measured on my desktop.
It’s gotten a bit better for me and I haven’t had any crashes in a while.
Still a far cry from the state FS 2020 is in regarding load times and general bugs, but at least for me it does seem to improve slowly.
6.50 minutes to start the game. That’s a little better.
in 2024, this is the only game and application I know of with such a long loading time.
this evening 8’30 to load the sim. It’s definitively a big s…
10 minutes minimal for this phase. SLOW
3-4 minutes for me. The wide variation is so bizzare.
My start times are right around 3 minutes 30 seconds and have been since about Day 2 after launch. Once the queuing stuff went away, my launches have remained very consistent.
If I may, where are you from ?
I’m from France, and never had 2024 loaded under 20 minutes MINIMUM… Folks in Germany and GB are also struggling with the initial loading time.
There must be a common denominator, but I can’t find what it is.
As for me, I got the standard edition of 2024, and the deluxe of 2020, with no additional aircraft bought from the store. FTTH connection with 300Mbps download and 250 upload according to ookla speedtest.
Let’s try and and find the common denominator people, it just doesn’t make any sense that some people can load in under 5 minutes while other have to wait for 20+ minutes with solid internet connection and reasonably performing PCs…
United States southeast, roughly 35 miles/56 kilometers from downtown Nashville.
I just tested: 3 minutes 54 seconds from double-clicking my desktop shortcut, which is actually slower than usual. Could be due to the US Thanksgiving holiday weekend cranking up early for folks in the eastern half of the US already.
I’m from France. Tonight it took 9 minutes to load this s… (world censored by the forum). I see that in other countries it’s faster. maybe microsoft’s servers discriminate. I opened a support ticket. no answer, which is normal, they’re bad. The situation is easy for them, because refund is not allowed.
liars or bad ?
We are happy to report that the issues regarding access and streaming have been resolved. The distribution layer capacity has been increased to handle the immense interest in the simulator and the reliability is now above 99.999%. Our servers and services are also all performing as expected.
I just synchronised the time in windows and… from 13 minutes to 2.5 minutes load time
I also just did a quick test and the result is … yes, it seems very plausible that a proper PC (Windows) system clock sync will speed up (or enable) launching FS2024.
More details (and possible technical background) are here in this thread:
80 seconds. Experience varies.
[Xbox UK]
Find in another topic and that works for me.
Before more 8 minutes after less 2min 30.
Synchronize your Time and Region settings.
1. Press the Start button on the taskbar, type settings, and select Settings.
2. Select Date & Time and toggle the “Set time automatically setting" and “Set time zone automatically” to ON.
3. Click on Synchronize your clock to synchronize your system’s clock with an Internet time server.
4. Then click Region, and double-check that your country or region is correctly set up (for example if you live in Canada, make sure that the region didn’t switch to USA or vice-versa)
Since yesterday I cannot access from Xbox series x here in Spain, gets stuck in 95% when launching. Uninstalled it and re-installed twice already.
Thanks that worked for me, im on a 4090 + 14900k + gigabit internet, i seem to be around 2min 30sec avg now from press launch till splash /main menu, is this the avg for everyone, oh and nvme ssd (i forget, i think its the 7000MB/sec read/write one)
