This is an older video I made about landing visually… If I remade it today it’d be shorter, but I think the topics are important for all people just getting started in FlightSim as far as how to set up and execute a good landing…

I’ve found that airspeed is the biggest factor. Keep it just above stall speed and make a long approach. The aircraft will not land very well if you are at flying speeds. The balance is easier to achieve with flying around at stall speeds for prolonged periods at attitude and trimmed as needed for slow level flight. Use no flaps and try for long open grass runways with the best headwinds, and the least obstacles for practice, til you get the feel of the aircraft. A good landing is a perfect stall inches above the runway. Practice makes perfect, as its a delicate balance of airspeed. I like to hear the stall buzzer when tires touch. Use trike geared aircraft like the 150 for learning. Know your aircraft’s min speed well, and use no weather until you get familiar. They all differ with min speeds, but must stall at the perfect time to land. Light on controls and straight and level. Remember airspeed is key for smooth no bounce landings. Never force it down, if its not right, apply power and try again. Good luck and happy landings
