The answer is simple…they can´t

I feel sorry for Jorg… seems that he is such a nice guy commited to the community…but for sure he can’t control everything…

True! But at least can anyone at MS give a statement on what’s going on? To reassure everybody? It’s almost 4 hrs since lunch and nothing even in the news and announcement topic on the forum… I thought maybe someone would come forward…

I had the exact same thoughts. On top of that, with the pre-orders, they had a good idea of what is about to come.

It would seem that bandwidth should have been the easy part and certainly not the failure point. If your streaming game can’t handle the download process, it won’t handle a normal day of streaming either.

It will be fine soon enough, this always happen with popular releases. You cannot just prepare for extreme loads, better to scale up step by step per the load.

The release date has been known for months, months that they can anticipate and we have one of the worst launches like some Wow expansions. It’s not a small independent publisher that would have been surprised by the success of its game!

They should have enabled preloading for pre-orders. It’s been 4 hours, and I still can’t install the game. This is Microsoft, not some small indie publisher. I spent $200 on the Aviator’s Edition, this is unacceptable

3hours since I started the instalation and stuck on 97% for ages.
Microsoft with all their resources should have been able to anticipate this.
I feel I have been scammed.

Not even the login queue is working, thumbs up :+1:
It would have been easy to show at least at what position someone is in the queue

There is no excuse for that and I am a patient guy! They knew thousands would go for that at launch. They should prepare better, very unprofessional! This whole growing dependency on the internet, servers will go boumerang on them. Very disappointing..and frustrating..

and yet, Youtube streamers are in the sim… go figure

My initial download went through, but there was only 5 planes, none of my marketplace planes, and nothing i wanted to fly. Thought I would restart and my Premium version would work, but it downloaded again and eventually had a server crash. Now it just says I’m in a queue…um what? This streaming game is going to have a limited numbers of players or something?

Yes, I’ve been watching some of them. That looks fantastic: fast and nice LOD… what is it that they have and the average Joe not ?

But they built a streaming game. This isn’t download spikes, they intend on streaming the game full time. If they can’t handle the download, they certainly can’t handle the up/down required for streaming!!!

The same for me

There won’t be this many users trying in the same window after the release. It’s just a peak now.

Get real. They always have server problems and they just don’t care.

very good question… we are not good enough for MS

Why did they not launch it the same why they launched 2020. Each time zone launches separately. There were no such problems last time.
