Toolbar missing in VR

Yes, this happens for me as well. But sometimes it sticks and I can’t get rid of it, or it goes away and I can’t bring it back. Or sometimes the last application I used comes back but not the toolbar itself. Very frustrating.

I have not been able to get the toolbar to display in regular or VR mode. I have tried assigning “Alt + T” (which is default keyboard assignment) to both VR and regular toolbar commands. Also, have tried to use button assignments on my Velocity One Yoke to display it. I have also tried linking Alt + T to other toolbar commands in PC mode including the “Toggle” and “Display” commands.

If you are in the career and this checklist sign appears and you hold down the right mouse button, the menu appears

Same issue. Mapped a button on my Joystick, but no effect.
Furthermore, when going back in 2D mode, the Toolbar is not showing anymore either.

Same problem. The VR Toolbar has appeared once for me, but never again. The standard Toggle Toolbar mapping sometimes flicks on a menu with “Reset Position” at the top, but (most of the time) it disappears again almost instantly.

Having the same problem. I have never got the toolbar to launch in VR. I have tried multiple mappings with keyboard, yoke button, and a controller button. It just never comes up.

Using:

Windows 11
MSFS 2024
Steam and Steam VR
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
RTX 4070 TI Super
32 GB Ram

Steps to Reproduce as above:

1 .start the sim
2. load a flight (free flight) and start in 2D mode
3. Make sure proper control profile is loaded for mapping to toggle bar in VR
4. go into vr
5. try to open Toolbar with assigned button
→ fail

Thanks

BTW: SIM is loading up and working quite well for me (once I got logged into XBox the first time) and 2D seems to be working well. However, once you go VR that’s the way you want to fly it. So, I really need these type so features to work well in VR.

Same issue in VR for me.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
Chipset: X570
GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ AMD RX 5700 XT
MEM: 32GB DDR4 3600Mhz
OS: Windows 11 version 23H2
VR: HP Reverb G2 V1
MSFS2024 on Steam

Did assign VR Toggle Toolbar to button 2 on my Honeycomb Alpha Yoke and sometimes works but sometime it does not.
Exit VR and go back to VR it works again.

Also Mouse interaction in VR stops working and cant control any buttons, switches NOTHING, roght click zoom + left mouse click works again, or exit & resume & works again.

These two drivers me crazy. Please asap a update to fix VR.

This is absolutely ridiculous to release it this way. Nobody was checking VR before release apparently. We are so used to this, thanks Asobo.

I have the same issue, but had the suddenly joy to see the VR toolbar when hitting the assigned alt-T keyboard buttons. The toolbar even worked fine, although it was very small, and embedded within the cockpit dashboard. Then the next time I tried to summon the toolbar, it did mot respond. I really hope you fix this soon.
My system: I9 13900k with rtx 4090, 32gb ddr5, quest 3 with Virtual desktop

Yup same here I tried everthing I know No toolbar in VR. Not great scenery either Very Dissapointing

Confirming same behavior. No VR Toolbar no matter how the assignment is applied. VR Menu under settings displays a question mark.

Edit: Assigned VR - Toolbar to a key as primary and secondary as mentioned above. Didn’t immediately work, but I moved the mouse towards the top of the screen and the menu popped up. For now, it seems to be working consistently. Mini victory!

Although it’s still buggy, I seem to have improved my keyboard binding of the Toolbar for VR. I erased the default binding and replaced it with Tab (also erased default Tab binding). Then in the extra settings window (cog on the far right) I noticed the “Repeat” function button was on. Checked it off and now the Tab button seems to bring up the toolbar a little more consistently.

By default, the TAB key brings up the EFB. What have you assigned that to? Just curious.

I don’t think I have the EFB assigned for VR because it’s in the aircraft by default. I can still get it in the toolbar but I’ll never use it in VR anyway. Navigraph for me when they update.

I’ve assigned a button to it, using my virpil throttle quadrant.
When I click on it, nothing happens. But then if I move my mouse to the upper part of the “displays”, the VR toolbar becomes visible.
Kind of what you do in 2D.

Try it out, and let us know. At least is something until it gets fixed.

But one thing is clear, VR is far from a priority, it saddens me.

With a lot of fiddeling, hitting the assigned key amd moving the curser to the top.of the FOV, the toolbar shows up. Sometimes!
Amd when it shows, then it is in the middle of the screen and not at the top.

But when going back to 2D, there is a good chance that an open window gets stuck and you lose the toolbar in 2D.

Overall: toolbar is not working as intended, if it works at all.
