Top Mach Studios: Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor

The main menu

In my testing so far I’ve found that it’s either a payware plane or a plane mod that’s causing my rudder and joystick problems. I’ve removed all plane mods and payware aircraft, apart from the F22 and the F35 and now my F22 works fine. Shall introduce more addons tomorrow to isolate the culprit. Hope this helps.

Loving the plane, by the way.

never heard of them until doing some research - those are some sweet equipament for jets like this i think. Anyone happens to have anything from them?

Yes. They are great. High price but highly recommended.

i knew some of you guys had something by them!
they are pretty pricey. Going to need to save some $$$
thats the one im aiming! but the grip / base is pretty cool, just toooo expensive to get all of them.

But had enough with saitek/logitech stuff. they are cheap pieces of plastic.
only one i have that worth the price is the AIRBUS Captain pack for the A320/Airliners but not for this.

@MEMcM Curious, what products you have?

There is a step between plastic and virpils : the warthog.
It’s top quality and versatile enough for FS, furthermore for jet fighters.
I used to have a X52 Pro but since I’ve changed for the warthog, it’s day and night…

F-22 veers on T/O and landing, F-15 and F-14 don’t.

That was the result of back-to-back-to-back take offs and landings with these three aircraft. X52 HOTAS, no rudder pedals – twist stick for rudder control. Auto rudder set to On. The F-22 is real handful in these two flight regimes every time. Plane flies very well otherwise. I don’t think this behavior has anything to do with crosswinds, unless the other two planes’ handling is coded differently. I also noted that I could see rudder deflection on the ground when commanded on the -14 and -15. I am not seeing rudder movement when commanded on the -22. The -14 and -15 are rock solid on t/o and landing.

Yep, that one i really like but its not cheap too!

definitelly cheaper than those VIRPIL, since you need to buy them separately.

I might go for this one before investing too much money on those VIRPIL.
Still learning and getting more love for those kind of jet.

the Warthog is metal correct??

True, but you need to get a rudder too with warthog because no Z axis on the stick…
Yes, it’s metal reproduction of A10 controls.

thats on my list as well.

Another one that goes for $500s but its on top of my list since i will use with all planes.

hahaha i know i know, this hobby just get more and more expensive.

after 2 years flying im going to slowly upgrade my gear. enough of plastic!

by now i invested on a bunch of planes to learn , soon its time to invest on some good gear.
changes the whole experience.

if you have a chance post a picture of your Warthog

its goes for around 800 for the set correct?

I paid 500€ for the set.
Add the rudder and the HP G2, this is actually an expensive hobby

I´m leaving VR for a future upgrade. Invested a lot lately on my PC/Displays
Definitely something i want to try on MSFS.

Is this the right place to discuss your gear…im not sure.

You’re right, sry, got carried away, back to the topic

well its totally related to the aircraft on this topic…
since im looking for gear to fly this. Anyway thanks for the insights.
Forums requires a LOT of patience

The F22 is great in VR, though ICP is a tad too deep to see correctly the top buttons on the center MFD…
I need to bend quite a lot to see them…
Besides this little flaw, I’ve had great times so far flying it in VR.

Cool, specially for this kind of plane. I never tried one on MSFS…
going to need to win the lottery soon i guess.
