Ok thanks, I’ll take a closer look. Will report Thank you!
There’s currently a fully functional FBW A320 overhead panel in the AM Community Store. It’s right in Air Manager.
And there are a few folks working on porting another full XP A320 cockpit so it’s compatible with the FBW A320. Not sure how that’s coming along as I don’t fly airliners, but there are posts about it over on the Sim Innovations forum.
Thank you, I had seen that with the overhead panel.. but the rest is just missing, but I’ll watch it. Or maybe if someone knows something new, he can post it here. PFD and ND as well as the ECAMs can be taken out with pop outs and the MCDU with the server is also mega. So actually only the autobreak buttons and gear lamps and other things.
Keep an eye on the Sim Innovations forum. A bunch of stuff’s been posted already for various A320 instruments.
Does one of you know if I have now found a panel in the Air Manager in the community corner, which is unfortunately only intended for X-Plane, whether I can also use it for the MSFS if necessary? Do you have to change something there or does it not work at all? And one has to hope that one day someone will create it. I know you can make your own. But have no experience with it. Thanks in advance !!
Any instrument can be updated to work with MSFS if the sim makes data available for interacting with the instrument.
Ahh okay, that’s important to know. So that means the ECAM panel on the A320 FBW doesn’t work because you don’t have any buttons for it that you have claimed!?
This one is for a moderator. This topic is not really a Wishlist item but a bug. As a result this issue does not seem to be getting any awareness or focus. Can it be moved to bugs and given one of the new tags so we know the progress of this issue.
Thank you using the Bug section, using templates provided will greatly help the team reproducing the issue and ease the process of fixing it.
Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?
No
Brief description of the issue:
When the ATC window is open I can press the number keys or successfully chose options (change frequencies, contact ATC, increase/decrease cruising altitude, etc.) by pressing numbers on the KB or clicking with the mouse, regardless of whether the ATC window is “popped out” to a second monitor.
Unfortunately, when I pop the ATC window to my secondary touchscreen monitor (mine is a HP E24t G4), tapping on the ATC options with my finger does not activate the option. When pressed (with my finger), the option will sort of light up for an instant, but then it does not activate. Again, I can mouse-click on the ATC options to activate them, just not with my finger on the touchscreen, which limits my experience, of course.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
PC specs and/or peripheral set up if relevant:
HP E24t G4 monitor on an NVIDIA RTX 3090 and a Z690 motherboard running Windows 11.
Build Version # when you first started experiencing this issue:
First use (with my new touchscreen) was with SU8, so I am not certain if this issue existed before.

I’m not sure if MSFS ever supported touchscreen use. Nor it was designed to be used with touchscreen. It’s not really a bug it it was never designed to be used with touchscreen anyway.
But if your touchscreen can simulate a virtual mouse cursor and clicks, that should theoretically work the same way.
Yes, in “theory” it should work. My touchscreen is a high-end model from HP (E24t G4) and it does indeed (via a USB cable) simulate mouse clicks. The problem is, it doesn’t work with the ATC pop-out window, as it does with just about every other piece of software installed on my PC. As I wrote originally, it seem like it wants to work (i.e. the onscreen button I tap on momentary flickers when I tap), but the tap on the touchscreen just doesn’t register with the ATC pop-out window (unlike a click of the mouse).
So, if working with touchscreens is not a supported feature (yet), then please consider this a feature request (with behavior that resembles a “bug” in that my tap, which is emulated as a mouse click, does not register properly as a mouse click on the ATC pop-out window, even though it does with all my other software).
Thank you for listening!
It’s a known bug it the sim and one lots of us are waiting to be fixed. The primary reason it’s a bug is there are pop out avionics that are meant to be touch screens that you are forced to use a mouse to control. It affects all popped out Windows including avionics and atc etc.
I really hope this gets adressed sometime in combination with the lockup of controls when popout windows get focus (Focus on Pop-Out Window disables Aircraft controls) This works flawlessly with every other sim for me and I fail to understand why you would a) want to lock controls when focus is on a popout window and b) not make touch usable on actual touch controls. Boggles the mind.
I made zen desk tickets but it would really awesome if this somehow got acknowledged here as well. At least as a logged feedback…
The real problem here is that no one at Asobo actually understood what we’re asking for in this wishlist item. Their internal assumption was the people were having issues interacting with popped out virtual touch screens from the sim WITH A MOUSE, which is actually a genuine issue with the sim atm as well.
I was following a post by PMS50 (aks @ScorpionFilm422 ) in the dev support forum, and it seemed pretty clear that there was a language barrier issue here and that they weren’t understanding what twas being requested. So I posted a short video demonstrating what was being asked so that there would be no confusion and get the point across accurately.
This was the reply to that video by an Asobo dev confirming that they didn’t originally understand what the feature request actually was and that now they DO understand what the issue is.
Looks like this is gaining traction! ![]()
Well done. Half the battle is getting the right information into the minds of the dev team. It seems this episode has helped greatly with that. I now have hope of a fix.
Hello there. I’m following this topic because I’m a GTN750 user and I would like to be able to manage this on one external device, by moving the GTN750 panel over my Android tablet for example. This is feasable with a tool like SpaceDesk, but the problem of the “touch” event remains. Is someone aware of if this issue is known at Asobo and if it is on their action list ? I can understand this is not part of high priorities but it greatly improves in-game experience. Thanks in advance.
Hi All, I have managed to solve this for a single touchscreen such as the TBM MFD, you can use a littleknow (And not known to be safe, use at own risk!) little application called touchgamingmouse. Here is a guide. This worked for me with pretty satisfying results.
This will only work on Windows, right? I couldn’t use Android tablet/iPad with Spacedesk or something instead?
I’ve got an iPad and I was running Duet to extend my windows desktop to that - then had this pop-out manager going. Make sure to follow the steps, and the touch feature is still being developed - but for my use, it worked with the PMS GTN750 popped out to the iPad and accepting touch input.
