I hit the trim button on my yoke…the trim wheel starts to move, then stops for a moment, and then moves freely…this hesitation makes it harder to fly…I wind up hitting it rapidly because it wont move at first, and then when it does move, i trimmed too hard…like the ketchup bottle effect. This is with every plane.

Could be the button contacts are wearing out or starting to fail. Most aren’t repairable easily, if at all.
Old FSX code remnant that sends a single trim pulse, waits 0.5s, and then sends continuous increase/decrease, old problem that unfortunately doesn’t seem to be understood by the devs.

I’m so use to this behavior after more than a decade using it this way, I just went straight past it as the issue!
I should have mentioned that FSX and P3D arent doing this. At least not as noticable. The worst is the Flysimware Chancellor…Magnificent add on, but wow, what a hesitation with the trim. I have to look at the trim wheel to see how its answering my commands when I need to be looking out the window.
