Triple Monitor Rendering

Steam
No mods, or addons.

2560x1440p curved 1800* triples

14900k, msi 4080super SuprimX

I am able to get the right monitor to render somewhat close, however the left monitor is way off. There needs to be better setup options and FOV changes for use with triple monitor setups, similar to that of iRacing and Asseto Corsa.

I can’t read your settings at all in that screenshot. Can you take one of just your monitor settings so it’s a higher resolution?

Hi @Wlkr392 ,

Thank you for this report. We’ve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.

The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.

If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if there’s an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.

If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.

All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.

I think you probably want to move it back to the Bug Reporting Hub @DementedCorn327, the OP is correct, this is definitely a bug and has been reported on other forums (most likely here but I can’t make my way through the 1000’s of complaint threads).

Here’s a video from my phone that shows the distortion on the third monitor. This isn’t a case of the settings not being right…the window isn’t being rendered correctly.

Hi @Wlkr392 ,

Could you create a new bug topic but without deleting the template and filling in all required fields ?. It is very important for the devs and other users that want to participate so that they have all the necessary information.
Thank you !

Yeah I had this bug as well. I somehow made it worse than it got better so I don’t know what my actual fix was… But it seemed to work normally after I deleted my rolling cache on the next startup.

Worst-case workaround I had: Render a 3rd window and make Window 1 (or the erroneous window) super small

When I took the main screenshot I had some roll included on the right monitor, but this didn’t make it any better.

Not sure how they could have borked this. I’d have thought it was literally just a replication of what existed in 2020? I mean they said they weren’t making any improvements to multi monitor and it was ā€œcompleteā€ in Martials words… then it went backwards and got worse!! If it wasn’t depressing it would be laughable.

I created a new bug topic. Today, the left monitor renders better, but both are still very distorted. I tried to get good visual representations, I have my simrig partially disassembled at the moment, but the monitors are still in their correct orientation/setup.

Ah I’m 95% sure I’ve found the workaround!

Window 1 ā€˜stretches’/pinches if you don’t initialize all three windows before starting a flight. So each time you go to start up the game, do this:

  1. Launch Game
  2. Open Graphics Settings, toggle a setting. It’ll force all three render windows to open
  3. Try a flight.
  4. Ta Da!

Still doesn’t render correctly based on zoom level

About desktop there are 2 possible settings either individual screens or connect them together as one desktop screen.
i use 3 screens in 2 different monitor size (two 19 inch and center screen 24 inch) for this scenario bind as one desktop like surround view

In the sim i setup multiview with mainscreen and left and right view in windowed mode
So one view for each monitor.

My question is have anyone tried it from here like this, and see this link
I posted on another topic earlier this week.

Hope this can help.

Hey. I’ve been suffering the same issue forever. Triple screen setup with surround turned off. Half the time when I fire it up, Monitor 1 does not render. It’s all stretched out like yours. Did you ever find a good solution? FYI, this is even after the latest 1.2 update. Thanks

Hi @DementedCorn327 - Are we able to get this moved back to the bugs forum? Its a bug several of us are seeing.
THanks

OP created a bug report (using the template as requested): Triple Monitor Setup Distorted Perspective
But since a solution was marked it has been moved to the User Support Hub .
@Wlkr392 : is the bug report that I moved not fixed at the end ?

The ā€œsolutionā€ that @PHSepp796 mentioned didn’t work for me, and in any event its a work around to the issue, not actually a solution to the bug. I’d suggest this needs to remain a live bug for the time being but will defer to the OP

The last time I was on, using the recommended steps, I had the same results and did not solve the issue.
What it seems like to me, when ā€˜zooming out’, the camera moves on 3 separate ā€œtracksā€ perpendicular to each monitor or just applying a skew instead of moving at an angle in relation to each side monitor.

yeah, exactly. Its not ā€œsolvedā€. The bug remains.

Right on! Still not ā€œsolvedā€

I think support is getting confused with the issue. In my mind, the one issue is the user is not happy with the perspective and how to get things to line up.

The other issue is the ā€œbugā€ with the resolution being ā€œsquishedā€. I have found this happens all the time in career mode. Sometimes it carries over to free flight, so I delete UserCfg.opt, reset the monitors, then fly free flight only. I don’t have the issue in free flight until I try career again. Then the world goes all egg shaped!

@DementedCorn327 Are you able to move this back to a big report please.
