Turbulence problem

In short most people have the false impression that air is calm on a nice sunny day but that’s by far not the case - it’s pretty much opposite (cold, grey day is the most smooth experience)

there is: set the temperature to like 10°C, no wind, overcast.

Then fly in the desert (bright surface). The updrafts are simulated by taking the energy provided by the sun into account, warming dark areas which then create thermals you notice as turbulence.
