Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Universal Control System

So pedals are coming

I see! And yoke is coming for Xmas

Many people who tried the yoke during the expo complained about a huge dead zone…

Perhaps that could be adjusted, and it’s a software configuration issue, rather than a hardware issue.

You would think that the product being demonstrated would be a golden sample tuned to its absolute best case scenario rather than poorly adjusted when showing it off to the world at its first trade show, or indeed any trade show…

I moved the yoke and throttle levers around at FSExpo but didn’t fly with it. It felt very light and cheap. Actually, when I first touched it, the TPM was detached from the yoke and I nearly knocked it off the table.

See, even mods can be critical of a product. Bravo

And no turtle ninjas to lock your post… yippee

The Turtle Beach Velocity One is now available for delivery.
Anyone orderer it ?
Any tests known ?

Nice toy :+1:
But … maybe some expensive

Not really, less expensive than Honeycomb A + B i guess…

I’ve got my order in! I will post about out once I’ve received and played with it for a while.

If you already own HOTAS with rudder pedals is it worth upgrading and secondly will it function with a game like Star Wars Squadrons, if it does work how will it play with a yoke.

I can’t see any reason why not. I use my yoke, throttle, and rudder pedals to play Frontier Pilot Simulator. At the end of the day, no matter how fancy they may be they are 2+ axis controllers, and the software will see them as that.

It’s all down to personal preference and what you like. I find a yoke is good for getting a fully immersive experience in the sim. Turtle Beach will be releasing rudder pedals in the future too. The VelocityOne Flight works with MSFS2020 and other simulation software with with USB controller support on PC and Xbox. I believe Star Wars: Squadrons is on that list, but I’ve never played it myself so can’t give a personal account!
Check out the website for more information - they’ve added some extra details recently.

I would imagine this is exciting news for the XBOX simmers as this will be the first new periphrial released for MSFS on XBOX.

The TV Velocity One will be available for pre-order tomorrow.

I’m interested in learning more about how easy it will be to customize the flight management display. I think I’ll wait until reading some real reviews before buying it.

Will be interesting to see how well it is integrated overall. It is designed with MS for MSFS (integrated XBOX controller buttons etc…)

I forgot that I signed up for pre-order back when I first started on MSFS with XBOX but have since transitioned to PC.

I’m really interested in this. But there are a few things that scare me…

  1. No user documentation or specs posted yet. Would sure be nice to have more details before ordering.
  2. Although not TB’s responsibility, the fact that MS/Asobo has had a bug since day 1 for Xbox where it will not save HOTAS One calibration changes between boots just makes me wonder if buyers will be left hanging for this as well. It also took months for MS/Asobo to fix button mapping. Even if this hardware is perfect, software could be a huge limiting factor.

The inability to save calibration changes isn’t a bug, it’s laziness on the part of the programmers.

You are one of the programmers and could not be bothered to create the code?
