Info on this just dropped today, it looks like. Very interesting!

Am surprised they went PC only with this one given the rest of the VelocityOne lineup.

Good luck to them. This is a crowded market. Iā€™ve been researching upgrades and there are a lot of good HOTAS options in this range these days. Iā€™ve already decided on the VKB EVO stick, and am close to going with their new STECS throttle.

Turtle Beach did something different by using a configurable touch screen. I predict this will be polarizing. I think many folks like the tactile nature of flipping switches and pressing buttons. I know I do. But on the flip side, this one offers a lot of customization options. Iā€™m wondering if the customization decision is what limits it to PC only?

Thatā€™s why I was surprised no XBOX support, as you said, the Market is flooded with good HOTAā€™s as is. But, on PC.

This is why their Yolk and Quadrant was so popular, they ruled the roost with XBOX simmers (until Honeycomb released theirs).

Seems this was another opportunity to provide to a market that has limited options (at the moment).

Iā€™m sure there were reasons though, just surprised.

Yes. I agree, Good Luck to them.

Great to see them coming out with new hardware too in what looks to be a pretty niche and tough sector.

If nothing else, thatā€™s got to be good for us I think.

Will wait with interest for reviews and comparisons with the competition when it comes out next year.

Im devastated. Was so excited to hear TB made an upscale HOTAS just to find out that its not compatible with my xbox.

Hope everyone buys this from a reputable third party seller when this is out. Looks very interesting.

Looks impressive and knowing Turtle Beach it should be amazing. I wonder when it will ship???

I thought I read somewhere that it was Feb 13 2024.

Bit of a stretch to describe the screen on the stick as a head ā€˜upā€™ display

Iā€™m not a fan of the more generic HOTAS designs, they often feel more space-sim than flight-sim. This certainly isnā€™t the worst in that respect though.

Hello simmers!
A new HOTAS from Turtle Beach was just announced!

Apart from the fact it looks amazing, does anyone know if it will be supported for Xbox?

Very exciting if it is!

PC only at the moment, according to their site.
Thereā€™s a review here you might be interested in.

Similar thread already started here:

Customizable haptic throttle detentsā€¦how cool is that? Wow.

I fly military so very rarely that thereā€™s almost no chance Iā€™ll pick this up at $400, but this is a really enticing package. I bet theyā€™ll print money on this thing.

Thatā€™s not a review. Thatā€™s someone reading the pre-order page on the Turtle Beach web site. I can do that myself, thanks.

One can only hope this inspires Thrustmaster to up their game and bring one of their quality hotas to the console community.

I have been having controller problems for the past four or five months. Saitek X52, Saitek X55 and a VKB Gladiator - all of them over four years old. Can barely make one flight without a problem.
I bit the bullet and pre-ordered the Turtle Beach Velocity One Flightdeck.
Come the middle of February we shall see.

What sort of problems? Problems with multiple controllers point to an issue that is NOT the controllers themselves.

Yes, I know. The last ā€œproblemā€ was the jumpy or back-to-zero throttle.
I had to switch the takeoff assist on and off many times before it would stay working. And it still screws up every now and then. I have made sure nothing else is mapped to the throttle.
Besides itā€™s a good excuse to mention to the spouse so it wonā€™t come as a great surprise when a new joystick appears.

And yet I have heard that even the TM Warthog Flight Stick (around Ā£250 in the UK) has a downside.

Despite having a lot of metal and weighing just short of an Airbus 380 it has a plastic cup and ball gimbal which can reportedly break or wear down after a perod of time.

Personally, I would be hoping for the VKB Gladiator NXT to make an appearance or even the Virpil Flight Stick :slightly_smiling_face:
