Tuwaiq Designs' own store now live

Significantly cheaper than Simmarket. Prices in Saudi Riyals.

Nice, thanks for the info. I also get 50% discount, maybe because I have several items in the cart. Unfortunately the checkout does not work right now for credit card (and I don‘t have these saudi payment options).

I just put one item and in my cart and it offered 50% off. But like you, I get an error message on the next page when I attempt to pay by credit/debit card. I’m in the UK. I’ve messaged the dev.

The dev responded quickly…

They’re having issues with the credit/debit card payment process but they expect it to be fixed shortly.

Have you used their airports? Are they worth buying? How is the quality?

I don’t currently own any. If you’d asked that question six months ago, I’d probably have told you to stay well clear of them. But the latest couple (Medina and Abha) actually look pretty good, especially when you consider where in the world they are. We only have three devs making Saudi airports: Tuwaiq, Azrsim and Vertex. Vertex’s Dammam is about the best of the bunch but that’s not to say it’s perfect (and they’ve made nothing since). Azrsim’s Riyadh looks nice in parts but appears a bit lifeless overall. Their upcoming Jeddah should give us an indication of whether or not they’ve improved.

Step one towards the store accepting worldwide card payments has been completed today (28th) — with step two, we should be able to successfully make purchases from tomorrow.

Any word on if we’ll be able to have purchases from other stores transferable to an account on Tuwaiq’s own store?

I was able to transfer an AzrSim purchase from ORBX to their own AzrSim store by the way, wondering if the same will be the case for any Tuwaiq Design airport purchase from simMarket, ORBX, etc.

The dev messaged me to say I should now be able to make purchases… but I still get the same error as yesterday (tried two cards).

Does BATC read the scenery without any issue? For me now this is something mandatory. Devs often cut corners and don’t do the work for the taxiways and runways to connect properly and be named like they should.

Does not work here neither.

Neither with Apple Pay nor credit card.

The moment I can actually acquire a Tuwaiq scenery, I’ll let you know!

Fully agree. I think if the paths and parking radii are done correctly by the scenery’s dev, they should be fine with all traffic injectors (the sim’s default, FST, FSLTL, BATC, etc.). I think it is the dev, rather than BATC, that has full control over AI traffic movements (BATC can assign runways, terminals and gates but has no physical influence over how and where aircraft manoeuvre).

Azrsim’s OERK has an issue that prevents aircraft from vacating at least one runway, and I’ve noticed it just lately in a few other sceneries (M’M’s ENEV, for example). Given that the sim’s ATC and traffic are becoming increasingly redundant, devs really need to make provision for the likes of BATC, SI and FSHud.

Hmm, I saw aircraft vacating the runway in ENEV. Will check again.

I agree with what you say.

I saw the same issue at their Oulu. It could of course depend on the aircraft type — an ATR should vacate way earlier than, say, a 321, so it could be a case of incorrect taxi paths affecting only certain taxiways.

I think you’re right. I was thinking about ENTC instead of ENEV.

Later will start at ENEV and check that.
