Iāve just had a look at Orbx EGCB, very impressive and Iām sure that is my car in the car park. 
Iām waiting for someone to do an update of the default EGNE, but i suspect that a payware supplier would only do that as part of a bundle of smaller airports.

I am from the isle of Wightā¦ Now. Born and bread South London. I am planning to spend the weekend converting the isle of Wight from google mapsā¦ its prob going to be a long process but worth it as I love my little island and it ails me to fly over it and see how the island does NOT look for real lol. Not yet looked at the SDK and implementing the Google maps data too much but get an idea of the process and have used Blender for years so half way there before I have startedā¦
If anyone else knows, once I have done this locally (for my system) is there a way to upload it to M.S/Asbobo servers so that the community will benefit as a whole?

A user called superspud on the flightsim.to website has manually created a version of EGCB. Itās not perfect but a vast improvement on the default.

the devs/MS are apparently thinking about a suggested facility that is similar to XPlaneās Gateway system, which allows community created scenery to be integrated within the base program. However, I suspect that updated sceneries based on data from Google or other copyright protected sources might leave MS open to litigation, so it wonāt be an easy process.
flightsim.to, or other collections of community developed mods, might therefore be the only route open to you, at least for now.

Sure no problem, having a āpersonal crisisā this weekend so may have to put starting that off until during the week but happy to share my results when done as long as Iām not breaking any rules lol
