Yes! Same test here. A310 start ATC problems in my side too.
To sum this all up, SU11 has completely borked ATC.
ATC might have had issues previously but they were not as frequent.
For me I love listening to ATC in game on my series x, and at present its completely ruined my enjoyment of playing this sim.
I really hope this is fixed soon, its like one step forward and two steps back with each SU update. SU10 I felt was great, but SU11 despite all the nice new planes, its broken a lot of other things.
This item has been reproduced and turned into an official bug report internally. This topic is now updated with the bug-logged tag. From here, Asobo prioritizes the bug, works on a fix, and slates it for a future update.

Yes - exactly this with the A310. Still the same after the latest update.
I have been experiencing ATC issues for some weeks now. Yesterday I switched Azure OFF in the sound settings, and apart from the reduced voice quality, ATC responded quickly to all ATC requests made in the ATC window, for the entire flight. I wonder if the system is coming under pressure with so many users downloading weather, AI aircraft, scenery and updates in real time during flights. Wouldn’t it be better if individuals could download a better sound set and ditch Azure.
Ran into this problem tonight in the G36 Bonanza - I had pilot audio at the start of the flight, but when I requested taxi clearance my pilot went mute.
Me too. I just found out how to get ATC sound back and as reward my pilot and co pilot were muted.
And it happened in Asobos ATR right now.
