Is anyone else having issues buying MSFS from Microsoft or even trying to gift some?

Could you be more specific as to what is actually happening?
My friend tried to purchase MSFS, but it kept failing on the payment screen, with a message “Contact us at Microsoft support, we’re having trouble processing your payment” I logged 4 separate queries over 4 days to get it resolved. Today I decided I would buy him a copy (Gift) and I get the very same error. I used the exact same process i bought my original MSFS and also I use the same credit card to buy addons every now and then. Microsoft are unable to resolve the issue, and don’t seem to know what to do.
I’m not an expert by any means, but I suspect that you couldn’t purchase it on your PC as you already have it.
The login for the sim is tied into your account, so I’m not sure you could have “gifted” it to them in any case, as the purchase would use your login.
Did you try on their PC using your card for the payment?
I was using a different PC, besides there is an option to actually “gift” the sim to someone, its part of the purchase options

Try gifting MSFS from the XBox app instead of the MS Store. Click on the “three dot” menu on the MSFS page within the store and it should hopefully allow you to do this.

A question I haven’t been able to find an answer to yet. Is it possible that I, being in the market within the simulator, can buy a plane to give to a friend? That is, just put the user to whom I want to give the gift. Thank you
