Unflyable P-51D "Man O' War"

No I’m not in the Beta, how long has it been in the beta? Might just try it if it’s not too time consuming or buggy.

Ok just tested the beta and updated the plane. It does rev higher when starting but still the engine dies every time.

Alright, I’ve flown a couple of the others. I’ll try to check Man o War specifically later on.

I just deleted it and going to try and re install it and see if that helps.

Hey thanks mate.

It’s says I have P-51 Man O’ War version 0.1.30 up to date. I’m assuming it’s the right version?

Edit: going to try it now.

I don’t see the version, but it works fine. I didn’t actually fly it as I don’t have my flight stuck hooked up (watching a movie and eating dinner!) but it rev’d up to full just fine and ran for several minutes. I used 50% fuel default and didn’t play with the tanks to see if there’s a problem there. But loading it up as default does work for me.

When I go to the community manager I can’t seem to see that plane specifically as I bnought the whole Reno pack at once.

Thanks for helping me out. Yeah I tested fuel stock and different settings and tanks to see if that was it.

I suppose it’s possible if you only have the one plane… there’s something related to the package that you don’t have that fixed it. Maybe someone should look into that.

I just unplugged my thrustmaster warthog throttle and I used my controller that I use for the drone camera and the engine didn’t die and I am able to fly now!

After trying each bind I turned out to be the mixture axis, since it didn’t work on this plane. I had it bound for my flyingiron Spitfire L.F MK IXc

Thanks for all your help @TheBlackWind977

The mixture axis binding has been killing engines for years  even killing planes that have no mixture like the airliners!

There must be others with this same issue as I’ve seen on other forums people reporting this even after the update. Sadly the thread was locked so I couldn’t contribute to let them know how I fixed my issue.
