Model modifications of the original Asobo Skyhawk plane included :
Large and stable bush wheels
Sportsman STOL Camber Cuffs on the wings
Increased flaps angle
It also includes all the modifications made for my other mods :
working doors, windows, sunvisors
a configuration book to choose all options
wheel chocks, tiedowns, covers, gpu
VFR maps on a cardboard on the yoke
a tablet to display external applications (sky4sim, fs mca, vfrmap…)
visible pilot, copilot, passengers
custom seats configuration (pax, cargo)
checklist cards and flip checklist box
various radio stacks (vfr, all radios, pms750, tds750nxi)
optionnal garmin G5 units
state saving
etc.
Even though the mod was initialy released on april 09, 2021 on fs.to, this thread starts at v3.0.0 so I can give you more development insights and update news.
Major rework, the same kind the taildragger has just received !
I have abandonned the reference to the 2 existing Asobo interior models (G1000 & classic), as it was getting harder and harder to follow the updates and impossible to debug with encrypted files
All features from my other mods have been backported to this one through a huge model edit :
working doors, windows, sunvisors
a configuration book to choose all options
wheel chocks, tiedowns, covers, gpu
VFR maps on a cardboard on the yoke
a tablet to display external applications (sky4sim, fs mca, vfrmap…)
visible pilot, copilot, passengers
custom seats configuration (pax, cargo)
checklist cards and flip checklist box
various radio stacks (vfr, all radios, pms750, tds750nxi)
optionnal garmin G5 units
state saving
Retro interiors (a few liveries available)
etc.
New features and fixes for this mod :
Manual flaps lever between the seats (you can use an axis/mouse or up/down buttons through 4 positions)
Rivets are now rendered correctly
light blueish windshield (exterior only)
Please, note that old liveries will need to be updated for this plane : it’s like a new variant. Texture pictures will be fully compatible, it’s a matter of configuration and layout changes only ! Feel free to contact me if you need support.
That’s a lot of changes and even if they’re almost the same as the taildragger variant, I hope there won’t be too much bugs left here.
This plane is currenlty mostly compatible with MSFS2024 as a legacy port, that is to say, without fancy new 2024 features.
It flies the same, all features work the same. The current issues in dev alpha are common to all aircraft from MSFS2020 (lights, pilots avatars…)
One feature is not compatible anymore : manual defrost uses a hack on the windshield that’s very bad in MSFS2024 : I need to remove it
I’ll probably try to work on it and make it a native MSFS2024 plane : use native dust/mud layers, native pax & cargo if we can
Of course, if my computer can handle it (not sure at all)
Changes:
added lights on radios and GPS : use the light knob to adjust
removed manual defrost for MSFS2024 compatibility
I wish you good bush flights either on MSFS2020 or on MSFS2024 !
As Echo19 has just released the Cessna 172 Precision Audio Pack, I worked on a simple mod to enable additional sound packs.
You will find an extra mod on my website, at the Bushkit download page, with the name bagolu-c172-bush-externalsoundpack.zip
This optional mod enables Boris Audio Works C172 sound set or Echo19 Cessna 172 Precision Audio Pack. Any other pack modifying the default C172 sound should work too.
You need to have installed in community (or throught the store) :
my Cessna 172 bushkit mod
Boris Audio Works C172 sound set OR Echo19 Cessna 172 Precision Audio Pack
my bagolu-c172-bush-externalsoundpack mod
Nb. both soundpacks support part of the custom sounds I included in my aircraft. Some of them may be missing as the packs are inteded to work on default C172
