[Updated] Arrows Across America: fly the US Air Mail routes 1926 - 1934

What would be needed for FS2024 compatibility?

Yeah, a number of things.
The beacon effect is very dim (invisible) during daylight, and also at night not as bright as we would like.
Door animations ar borked.
We need to check all locations for mesh issues, autogen and visibility (due to the new tree system) etc.
We’ll work on that ofcourse, but for now, only supported in MSFS2020.

Thanks Rob! All the more reason to keep MSFS 2020 around a little longer.

Did you check the Lincoln and Omaha hanger?

The Lincoln one is still standing, however now on a disused field. We placed it on the current location. I found it a beautifull Art Nouveau building, and wanted to place it in the sim.
A digital twin of the past

The Omaha hanger was destroyed in a tornado in the 20s.

Super stearman on Arrows Across America, on 2024, we do not see the markers. But this plane is the must for this circuit.
Looking forward to updating towards 2024.

Great pictures. Thanks.
Mayor issue indeed is the dimmed beacon effect. Models in general are showing up fine.
Not only for the arrows, but I think it’s not very realistic to have the beacon effect dimmed during daylight.
The airport beacon lights are very visible in real life at daytime.
I hope MSFS changes this, meanwhile we’ll check for a solution.
And I need to sort out the hangar door animation.

Just installed and I am loving this, thank you for taking the time to bring this to msfs. Quick question, I am also using Red Wing USA 35 scenery and was curious if there was an easy way to disable the red beacons in their scenery and just use the Arrows Across America airway beacons?

Have you tried ordering this scenery alphabetically in front of the Red Wing scenery? If AAA uses exclusion rectangles and polygons, it may exclude those parts.

Otherwise you could ask the Redwings guys to separate out their towers into a separate bgl so you can turn it off in their scenery (remove it from the layout.json).

Ill try and re order the scenery first, if not then it looks like I’ll be heading over to their discord to make a small request haha.

Hi, thanks for your question.
I also have the redwing 1935 scenery, and even a few fields. But since their last update more beacons are visible.
I haven’t tried to revert to the previous version. Not sure if that’s possible.
I like their ‘blacked out’ USA.
But it seems no longer compatible withour scenery.
So if you find a way, I’d love to hear it .

Cheers, Rob

Yeah, nice huh!
Thanks.
You missed the beacon in Boston, on the old Sky Scraper. But it’s visible in your stream. Nice!

Rob, I took care of it. Figured the guys at Redwing didn’t need to be spending their time on it. Only took a few minutes to edit the layout file and it looks good so far.
