Correct, it’s the flight restart itself that does the magic.
Really fun plane to fly! Thanks for your work on it.
Update v1.0.1 is just out and v1.0.2 is already in the works
Meet “54 Cyclone” !
Also:
- Much less twitchy rudder at taxi speeds.
- One more surprise livery.
Kudos for your awesome work, throwing a coin in the hat. What a fun to fly jetlike with an propelled aircraft.
Is there an wind direction indicator in the display (with gx mod), I could not find it.
Thank you
10,000 Vertigo downloads in a matter of weeks. You guys rock!
I have the working title GX mod. How do you turn on the autopilot?
Top bar of PFD where the anunciators for the AP are.
Thank you.
between the vertigo, H130, and Mooney, i haven’t touched a default MSFS aircraft in months.
Update v1.0.2 coming this week with 2 new liveries and a more gentle ground handling
Does this start tail wagging above about 300 kts for others?..looking at the turn coordinator bouncing back and forth.
Running v 1.0.1
yes, I see that even below 300 kts…very noticeable on the outside view as well…not sure if it’s a small bug in the flight model or something else (even with no winds in the weather settings the tail wagging is there). Even with this, the Vertigo is my favorite aircraft in the sim if I want to go fast and it’s good for VR frame rates too. My other favorite is the Savage Carbon from the the same designer for bush flights.
Just a reminder for anyone also loving this plane - due to the versioning stutters for now when there is a mix of versions (plane and livery) in the same general area, and a new version of Vertigo due soon, please check for updates before taking one up at Reno and when flying at Reno, please use default Vertigo liveries. There’s a group of folks flying the Vertigo in Dantesmontes great Reno scenery and when mismatches happen from someone spawning in, it can wreak havoc on race practice.
Hello,
I just discovered this plane… great work !
Very pleasant for playing in canyons and low altitude. It may be a perfect aircraft for exploring New Zealand fjords and riverbeds.
Some pics south KFMN, for my test flight…
yes, happens here too. i just figured it was normal due to the aircraft design not really being designed for the type of engine in it and kind of enjoy it in a “is this plane going to fall apart going this fast” way.
Same for me, nice tail shake starting in the 280s+. But that’s nothing compared to how much fun this is to fly !!!

Changelog v1.0.2 (May 5, 2021)
- 2 New liveries: 54 Cyclone and US Coast Guard!
- Tweaked steering wheel sensitivity a bit
- Adjusted rudder sensitivity at taxi speeds by a fair bit, less twitchy
- Less sensitive elevator at all speeds
- Slightly increased roll rate at top speeds
- Removed external 3D model LOD 5 as it missed wings
- Other “tiny” flight model refinements
Enjoy guys, overall easier to control on the ground, however, you would still need to respect the huge amount of power. No matter what, prop wash coming from 850HP spinning 6 blades will make the rudder highly responsive, as it should. Take-off with 25 to 30% torque and it’s super smooth.
Retract gear before 140kts or you may damage it.
BE A SUPPORTER
Enjoying this speed beast? Vertigo is free and always will be, however creating a mod like this takes a lot of love, time and effort. Any donation will go a long way in supporting my work and will be much appreciated.

Tail-shaking should be less in this update guys, but can unfortunately not be entirely removed. Something in the sim is doing this and no matter what I try there is a tiny oscillation around 280kts. Other light aircraft flying fast have this too, at different speeds. Sometimes we just push the boundaries of what MSFS was supposed to do, and Vertigo is on that list I suppose.
Other than that, like you all said, she’s a dream to fly!
