Using Xbox Thrustmaster Airbus throttles for 4 engines

I’ve got a Thrustmaster Airbus two engine throttle. When I use it on a four engined aircraft only engines 3 and 4 respond to throttle input. I have searched on the web to try and resolve this and for the PC you can assign each throttle to control two engines. On the Xbox I cannot see anyway of doing this. Can anybody help?

Have a look here, it may be covered already

Thanks, I had a look but its based on the PC version of MSFS. Xbox doesn’t give you all the same options as PC as far as I’m aware. Even thrustmaster themselves couldn’t help and suggested these forums.

Ive managed to map the throttles to work on the default 747 but it just doesn’t work on the Just Flight Bae146 which is the whole reason for doing so.

Slightly off topic but ca i ask if or does the TM TCA airbus throttle match up with the CLB/Flex/Toga detents when using the A3## aircraft in the game (Xbox X)? i am looking to purchase this soon but just want to be sure if i select Flex on the controllor thats what will happen in the sim.
TIA

I’ve finally solved the problem. I’ve mapped engines 1 and 2 to control all 4 engines and assigned buttons for fuel valves. For some reason engines 1 and 2 would not advance on the Bae 146 but assigning fuel valves solved the problem.

Hi im interested in the way you’ve done this as im struggling myself anyway you coild post the way you achieved this, also are you using the add on quadrant 3+4 at all

No, just the two throttle quadrant. With most of the aircraft I have being two engined I can’t justify the cost of another set of throttles as they are not sold separately for the Xbox. I leave them set for 1-2 engines.
It took me a while to figure it out as I am no expert. Basically, if you go into the profile for your TCA stick and in the top search box in the left hand pane type ‘throttle’ and select display ‘all’ in the bottom box, the main screen should display all throttle assignments available.
Look for throttle 0-100 for each engine 1-4 and use the search control to assign a throttle lever. Do this for throttle 1 and 2 and assign it to the same lever on the quadrant. It will warn you that it has already been assigned but just validate it anyway. Do the same for throttles 3 and 4 for your second lever then save. You can rename the profile if you want to something obvious ie. 4 engines or a specific aircraft.
Hope that makes some sense. This is for the Xbox Captain X pack where only the stick shows as the available TCA control in control options.

Yeah i see what you’ve done i think the warning threw me off saying already assigned, thanks buddy will try this way out thankyou, like you said above Microsoft useless ive also had issues with thrustmaster having no clue

At least Xbox users with the same problem can search and read this thread for help now.

I am on P.C. but the settings of the 4 Engines quadrant should be the same .See attached pic.

The detents are working very well for the AsoboA320 provided you do the correct calibration with the Thrustmaster software . I cannot tell you if the detents are ok with the other airbuses.

Thanks, the throttle quadrant isn’t displayed visually as a separate control on xbox. All settings are through the stick which was at first a little confusing but the process is the same as the PC. I think im going to remove the detents on the Bae146 as they are way out. I’ve also latched the reverse thrusters up so theres no gate due to the 146 not having reverses and requiring full movement of the throttle levers.

I’ve got two TCA airbus throttle quadrants working on my Xbox but I had to connect both using the two USB sockets in the Airbus joystick (there was no way to connect them together using the short SATA cables underneath).

Does anyone else use the 4 throttles (2 x throttle quadrants) on Xbox? If so are you also using rudder pedals? I can’t work out how I would connect them as both of the USB sockets in the Airbus joystick are used for the quadrants. Could I use a USB hub of some kind?

Unfortunately there is no way on XBox. On a PC the two throttle quadrants are connected using separate USB connectors. You cannot use the cables underneath the quadrants to wire them. Unfortunately I didn’t know this initially so I had bought a second throttle quadrant that now serves as a spare part.
