Folks, as I mentioned before - MSFS2024 is still an evolving platform, and given the recent state of complete disarray concerning MSFS2024 and SimConnect (which we are heavily using to control launches, positioning, timing, basically all of the functionality), you will have to give us a bit of time until the platform stabilizes and we get a stable build, so we can ascertain what is not working on our side, and what is broken on MS side. And given that KSC Scenery on MSFS2020 seems to have zero issues, we are leaning towards âblamingâ MSFS2024 for the defects, as both platforms seem to be using identical SDK methods.
So, please - if you are on MSFS2024, be prepared for things to be broken. And, if you still have MSFS2020 installed, please consider checking out KSC Scenery on that platform, worry free

For XBox? XBox version is not ready yet - there is extra validation that MS requires for WASM content. I will inquire as to the status of it.
Ok thank you. It does work on msfs2024 somewhat just smoke visual effects are not there and sound doesnât always work, crawler does glitch but other then that it shows the launches.

Are you using 2024 Beta builds? We are on the retail version and there are no crawler glitches.
Im using the msfs2020 version on 2024. Idk if its beta. Im on the retail msfs2024 game and i purchased the scenery pack on msfs2020 so idk. Im not familiar with what your asking sry

Thanks! That is something the author seems to insert, almost as a trademark, in his videos (Iâve seen it in all of the videos he creates). The actual effect comes in a package called SimFX, by developer called //42 (parallel 42), check it out here.

56 years ago today, Apollo 11 launched towards Moon! Here is a video of one of our customers, using the KSC Scenery and superimposing a real-life Apollo 11 launch video and audio commentary! Pretty cool!

Picked this one up today, the visuals are outstanding but yeah here on MSFS 24 I get no sound unless on top of the vehicle. The smoke trail will go pretty far but cuts out at a certain point. Hope these issues can get fixed over time, I am not on any beta just SU2.

Thank you for your support! Yes - that is on Microsoftâs side - unfortunately. I will get back behind the keyboard in mid-August and will try a few things, but the way 2024 is at this stage, I am not optimistic.

DEFECT ALERT: It appears that the MS/Asobo broke a few things with the latest service update. Apparently, some of the KSC Scenery objects have the dreaded âpink checkered boardâ texture, which denotes âmissing textureâ. I have dug deep and found the cause of this. In order to minimize the pack download size, we use texture âaliasingâ - we design our objects (where possible) using default textures, and then include alias directives so that the scenery uses default textures.
It seems that MS/Asobo removed some of the textures from the expected folders, and created a new location for them. The weird thing is, they duplicated most of the textures in the new location, but they removed some from the old location, and that is why this is happening.
We will raise a defect alert through their defect reporting system, but in the mean time, we have a âmanualâ fix for this - basically, adding another line to 2 files:
Please find and go to this location:
Official\OneStore\terrabuilder-ksc-modellib\scenery\KSCModelLibs\KSCBuildingsModelLib
Open the file âtexture.cfgâ
Insert this line at the bottom: fallback.3=Scenery\modellib-texture\ModelLib
And then, do the same for this location:
Official\OneStore\terrabuilder-ksc-modellib\scenery\KSCModelLibs\KSCPropsModelLib
This will alias the textures to the 3rd fallback, the ânewâ folder with all the textures.

Iâm glad youâre already on top of this - I just discovered it today (ironically whilst trying out a new aircraft repaint which I hadnât installed properly so it ALSO had the pink checkers!)

Thanks - however, no one from Asobo responded yet, so I donât know how this will be resolved. I guess we fix it with another update, if there is no response from them.
A quick update - Asobo responded, they are looking at it and deciding how to address it. So, we are waiting to see whether they will fix it on their side, or if we will have to issue an update (with the above fix, among other things)

I recently purchased the add-on for MSFS 2020. Will it be transferred to my MSFS 2024? So far, I havenât been able to find it in my libary (2024).

You should see it in your âMy Libraryâ section of 2024 Marketplace, but you need to install it as a separate package, MSFS2024 version is a MS Port from the MSFS2020 version, and is converted (by Microsoft) to work on MSFS2024.
