For those of you that use the A320 NEO on VATSIM, I’d like to request for the benefit of other simmers, that you use the correct model for the real world airlines you’re operating for when filing your flight plans.
Here’s what I mean. If you’re flying as United Airlines on VATSIM, use the model code A320 or A319, not A20N. United doesn’t operate any A20Ns. Same with American Airlines; they operate A321 NEOs, but no A320 NEOs. In that case, you’d use A21N. The only US carriers that use this version of the Airbus are Spirit and Frontier. Some of the model matching VMRs don’t have the correction in their files, so as a player, we see a generic Green or Yellow model in your stead, or in some cases, depending on your VMR setup, an Air China (or something).
It’ll just make the online sim experience more seamless. Thank you!
