Ok, I have just done a 1hr flight just to test this issue out, my findings…
1st 30minutes i had the clock set and the stopwatch running - result was 5 aileron hard-overs.
2nd 30minutes I stopped the stopwatch and flew home - result was 0 faults.
This seems to indicate a very odd interaction with the chrono but I fail to see why there should be any connection at all here.
I will forward this to TB as a new yoke failed to fix the issue.
BTW you don’t even need to fly - just sit with plane ready to take off and start the chrono then watch the sim yoke.

OK, you guys are definitely onto something with the hard right overs.
- First 2 flights 30 mins each no V1 Chrono planes flew great getting used to the yoke.
- 3rd flight used chrono just a little on Bush flight 1-3 hard right overs.
- 4th flight was 1 hour bush with Chrono the whole time 15 hard over’s, was about ready to throw this V1 in the garbage, pretty much unflyable.
Then I came here and read what some of you guys said.
- 5th flight 45 minutes with no chrono and NOT a single hard over right.
It sure looks to me like a relation between the two, and I will test more today. Also I’m not sure if this matters, but I shut down MSFS, and shut down Xbox (not sleep mode- shut off), and unplugged the V1 and plugged back in again between all flights.
I can’t thank you guys enough. I’m not a Discord guy so this form is my avenue of choice. You essentially save my $500 (in my country) purchase.
I will test more today.

You dont even need to fly - just get the engine running on the runway, sit there and start the chrono - then watch the sim yoke
I have passed this on to TB tech support, would be a good idea if other sufferers did too.

I tested it today with the chronometer. once with the kodiak 100. 17 minutes flew there followed for the first time a banking hard to the right. In the following 4 minutes it happened again 4 times. after that i changed planes. the staggerwing. again with chronometer. 40 minutes flew without incident then again 2 times banking hard to the right. It’s now my 3rd V1F…always different issues. I’m slowly getting tired of it

So you had the chrono running at it hard-overed ??
This sounds like the firmware is messed up, is there anyone on here running a VF1 on the old firmware still??
I have the latest firmware installed. yes, with running chrono.

Latest firmware. Had it happen twice yesterday while trying to get the headset jack working during a flight. Was paused trying to manipulate audio settings. I un-paused it and went into a spin immediately from 14k feet into the Bearing Sea. And the headset still didn’t work.
the headset problem can be solved by connecting the v1f to the pc and adjusting the audio settings. if it hasn’t already been done

Should have mentioned on Xbox using the C208 and no access to PC as everything else is Apple for me. Love the V1 yoke but still a few bugs to work out.
Had the velocity one for 2 weeks now set up profiles and working wonderfully.
Using these mouse matt desk lamps (12 quid) but can mount joysticks and the velocity one throttle to them depending on your desk set up.

So now I can use either the joystick or the yoke depending on the aircraft I’m in.
Btw used this screws to mount it to it (m5s)

All so strangely negative lately. I’ve passed through 100 hours and have had none of the issues listed with mine. I use all the simhanger youtube setups and it’s fantastic. I could care less about the ‘training’ mode, when you configure this completely yourself you just remember where everything is going forward. I still have a couple buttons unassigned as I’m not sure what I need them for, at least up to single turboprop and twin piston complexity. One of these days I’ll get around to flying a business jet. Still haven’t explored if using a ‘shift’ button and doubling the assignments is possible.
Using the HOTAS as a TM pedal server frees up the bumpers and triggers, which I use for raise/lower view on the bumpers and camera zoom axis for the triggers. It’s a slow zoom inside where I find that even when I use one button on the yoke to snap back to default views I always want to zoom out just a little bit, and the raise/lower views make quick work of getting the right view quickly for parking/taxiing and handling tail draggers on the ground(except the staggerwing, feel bad for the ground operations crew when I’m parking that thing). It’s a huge bump in situational awareness with instant access.
If they get that SIP up on xbox it’s almost unimaginable that this would even be possible on a console. I’m still blown away by the reverse thrust and feather features now working. Just wish the condition detent worked to keep you safely out of cutoff, but think that’s an MSFS thing.
I had a reply from TB today re the aileron hard-overs and chrono connection…
"The feature to use the stop watch is coming in a future update and should be available in Q2/3 update and then you will be able to use this feature
Sincerely,
Fred"
oh, now that’s surprising. the stopwatch works on the yoke. I don’t understand that now. so now there is a feature that can only be implemented/used in q2/3 that is responsible for the hard right rudder. why can we use it at all now if there are problems with it?
Yeah i thought it was a bit odd, but i have made many flights today and all with the chrono off and all 100% no hard-overs so for me the fix is easy - use a normal stopwatch

I now have the feeling that everything that has to do with msfs will sooner or later end in a workaround.

Sounds reminiscent of Windows software maybe

I wonder if the chrono may have something to do with it? I never use the TB screen for anything other than picking LED colors. None of my settings match the training screen(don’t need it anyway) and with a 55" in your face it seems a little paltry. Although people claim it happens with controllers too.
ETA although I have flown with it more than a few times running and just forgot about it completely, mainly so the screen was doing something.

For me the issue started when i started doing dead-reckoning so needed a stopwatch, i have not touched the chrono for two days now and have had no issues at all with the ailerons.
My hard right overs also went away after I stopped using the TB chrono. 6-7 flights now over 3-4 hours and not a single one.
I only used the TB chrono because the default Stopwatch at the bottom of the nav window does not save the time since SU8. As soon as I close the Nav window the stupid stopwatch resets to 0, and i dont like flying with it open all the time. It used to keep counting the time even when you closed it, until you hit the reset button. Not any more.
