I did update the firmware to 1.3.0, after installing I started up the sim and also Spad.next wich gave me a warning about the Enhanced power management in W10 wich could result in loss of control and or loss of button functions. I set the power settings in the registry ( lots on YouTube how to do that ) to 0 (zero) and I have no problems what so ever in two 3 hour flights.
Thanks,
I have a pretty strong dislike of Discord - i find the UI messy and confusing, just me of course, I can’t even see any mention of this response on there?
After the Firmware update I’ve had the same “drop out” issue on my TB-V1. I love the SIP working on Xbox! As well as the detent levers working with reverse throttle and prop!
The only button that works during my “drop out” is the Xbox home button. Pressing the Xbox Home button pauses the sim still, so if I’m in a banking turn and have no response I can still pause, wait a moment then Unpause with control again. It’s a pain but hey, at least I’m not in a stall, spin and in the ground. Also, noticed the issue was worse when flying the TBM. Only a few drop outs on the Bonanza V35B. And hardly had an issue when switching profiles to twin jet and flying the citation cj4.
Version 1.3.3 releases tomorrow.
If you have access to Discord, this is the link that is encouraging:
You will find others below it which confirm that version 1.3.3 will be released tomorrow. Another that gets very specific about options:
When it is released you will find the announcement here:
Cheers
XBOX here. Anyone else not seeing FW 1.3.3 as available yet? The TB support page says it is but my Control Center says I’m up to date with 1.3.0
Normally you have to re download the App for the new firmware to be found.Just tried that and you are correct no new firmware found. we will probably have to wait for TB to update App etc.
This is 100% untrue. The control center app is the app that checks for and applies new firmware to the V1. I downloaded the app when I first got the V1 - launch day - and have NEVER redownloaded it since and its updated the firmware on my V1 every time there has been an update.
Same here - only 1 app download and two updates so far, the new one is not showing though
This is interesting, with update 1.3.3 I was clicking through settings and saw a accessories > rudder pedal on/off page on the TB-V1
Sure enough pedals and stand coming soon…
I am still geting yoke drop out when landing or take off after 1.3.3. update. What about you guys?
single engine prop and SIP FP001
Sorry to hear that! Mine has been working since the 1.3.3 patch on both Single Eng Prop and Twin Jet modes.
Only thing I can think of, is make sure the update went through and says 1.3.3 in the TB app, see if it says up to date or will let you reinstall. Otherwise maybe a full reboot and change the USB port if another is available on your system. Also are you on the SU10 beta? I believe the new functions only work on the beta program
I posted in another thread about the SIP and firmware update, that when mine did freeze the Xbox Button still worked allowing me pause for a second until things came back on, not ideal but it wouldn’t crash the aircraft on approach!
yes, I never should have updated to 1.3.3. yoke and throttles often stop working in all planes for me since I updated (I have latest firmware and sip). I just unplug and plug back in to fix it but I’m going to submit a ticket with turtle beach. This is on PC.
I am not even using any SIP option. I get drop out on all options. Visuals, SIP FP001 and custom SIP.
And no SU10. I am on SU9.
I will try with another USB port or reboot.
But first I will wait what turtle beach has to say
Oof! That is frustrating! Let us know what they say, they are usually pretty quick with a response.
Let us know if you found a solution!
Well, I try all kind of option with different setup on Velocity One also try different USB hubs and there is still this drop outs.
Do you guys know how to perform factory reset or is it even possible to downgrade firmware?
I can confirm I also have consistent drop outs on yoke and throttles and I’ve never had this issue one time before the update to 1.3 and then 1.3.3 it’s quite frustrating.
TB support replied pretty much that the “workaround” for now is to unplug-plug-in the USB which I was already doing. They said should be fixed in next update but no info about when that would be or whether we can “downgrade” to previous version.
A downgrade was mentioned on the discord somewhere, i recall it needed a new download of an app that only runs on PC, I’m on x-box so didn’t bother reading further, i think it returned it to v 1.1?
