yeah his ultra wide is pushing twice the pixels of your 2560x1440, its like powering two of your monitors, so going to be loads less fps
Am thinking get a new 3080 or wait for big navi, both should give better fps with all those pixels to push
Yes but you are running twice the pixels, so half the fps, you should be getting 15/25 on that
Set up your monitor to 2560x1440 and your fps should almost double
Your monitors resolutions is bottlenecking, just too much data throughput for your GPU.
Lower your Rez to 2560x1440 or 1920x1080 and test, should be right in line with what others get.
Same here… nearly the same specs but with 32 GB RAM. 42 to 52 is about the range I see on default “high” settings, pushing toward 60 fps in the cockpit.
I think you may be getting normal FPS, your hardware just can’t drive the resolution. I am not sure how well you can downscale to 2560x1440, the game might not run super well on a non native resolution
You can submit a bug report to zendesk, though they will not reach out to you to help directly.
I don’t think this is a driver related bugs. Most driver issues with MSFS so far have been with Nvidia, haven’t seen anyone who had issues directly related to AMD drivers yet, and you said yourself you’ve tried several versions. Not sure what the issue is at this point.
I just dealt with this today. I was getting 12 FPS on Ultra settings. I have a Ryzen 7 3700x, 32 GB DDR4, RTX2080S. I have 3 monitors (5760x1080).
I even went to low settings just to get up to 22FPS. It was brutal and I was losing my mind.
After fiddling with settings all day I set the “texture rendering” from 200 down to 120. Left everything else on Ultra and now getting around 42 FPS using Nvidia Surround.
