Virtual Fly MSFS2024 experience with VFHub software

Virtual Fly MSFS2024 experience with VFHub software and Switcho and other Devices

Devices with VFHub software working ok
Yoko+ custom planes profile with no-axis binding
TQ6+ custom planes profile with no-axis binding

Switcho Devices with VFHub software partially working
Trims no bindings needed in FS24 only the landing lights stay on
Radio not shown in FS24 this is correct it works through VFHub

VFHub software version 1.2.9 (latest).
Switcho Radio firmware version 1.0.4 (build 23-5-2024)

It looks like the Switcho Trims and Switcho Radio do send data to FS24 but do not update the interface with information from FS24.

You can check the Radios version by maintaining the YD button pressed a few seconds and this will enter debug mode.
Maintain it pressed to reveal the version. To exit debug mode, you will have to restart the Radios.

Is there a solution for the interface not updating problem?

Thanks.

I’m Raúl Torilo, aeronautical engineer at Virtual Fly. Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in our products.

We are currently working on ensuring the compatibility of our peripherals with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (MSFS 2024) to guarantee optimal performance. Let me address your comments below:

  1. Switcho Trims :
The issue you mentioned about the LEDs staying on throughout the flight should be resolved with the latest version of VFHub (v. 1.2.13). This version will be available for download on our website in the afternoon of November 25th CET.
  2. Switcho Radios :
To ensure proper functionality with MSFS 2024, you’ll need to install the new firmware version for the device (v. 1.0.5). This update will be available through the new VFHub version (v. 1.2.13).
Once the updated VFHub is installed, the application will display a message on the device asking if you want to install the new firmware. You’ll just need to select “Yes” to start the installation process.
Additionally, this update includes a new page on the device, as demonstrated in this video:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Lu_GQ4691c
The new screen features a fully functional Engine Display that dynamically adapts to the aircraft being flown, alongside an EFIS with an HSI. Together, these enhancements deliver situational awareness comparable to a G1000 Primary Flight Display (PFD), which is incredibly valuable. The add-on required to access this new page will be available for purchase on our website starting this Wednesday for a cost of €59. If you choose not to purchase the add-on, the device will still work perfectly, but this new feature won’t be available.

I hope this information helps. If you have any further questions or encounter any issues, don’t hesitate to contact me!

With great support from Virtual Fly!

I downloaded the new VFHub version 1.3.0

After installing the new VFHub 1.3.0 software I updated the Switcho Radio firmware to version 2.0.0 (build 26-11-2024)

All my Virtual Fly devices Yoko+, TQ6, Switcho Trims and Switcho Radio now work with MSFS-2024.

The new Switch Radio G1000 PFD (EFIS) screen looks very nice for support of aircraft with a G1000, I will very likely buy a license for the extra screen.

The Switcho Trims work ok and the landing gear lights are now turning on and off.
The Switcho Radio also now updates its interface with the correct MSFS information.

So far everything seems to work ok!

Thanks Virtual Fly.

Hi
Should the g1000 panels also work with MSFS 2024? I do have the latest version of the vhub.

The panels integrated with the G1000 should work with the latest version of the VFHub application. This version is published on our website and is v.1.3.2. If it still doesn’t work for you, don’t hesitate to let me know!

HELP!

I update the VFHub software to 1.3.2 and the Radio firmware successfully updated to 2.0.2 (Build 29-11-2024).

And now the Switcho Radio is not working anymore!
The Radio still boots and when I press YD it says it’s on the correct firmware 2.0.2

My startup sequence is

Plugin all VF USB devices
Start the VFHub software
VFHub shows all VF devices are connected
Start MSFS 2024
Start flight with C152 or C172 G1000
If needed restart VFHub

With the previous VFHub 1.3.1 firmware 2.0.1 if it was sometimes not working I would restart the VFHub and it would always work.

I hope you can help me thanks.

I just tested one of the Switcho Radios here, and the update works perfectly. In this update, we’ve implemented a feature where no information will be displayed on the Switcho Radios screen if the aircraft has no battery power. Please check if the airplane has electrical power during your testing.

I’m not sure if this is the right place, but I would like to make a request for VFHub: the possibility of creating profiles. For example, I use the ruddo+ for different planes and helos and It would be great to have profiles with the modified curves depending on the aircraft I have selected.

Hi, i have not been able to get the panels to work with msf2024.
Have them working fine, with msfs2020.
My virtual fly pedals, yoke and throttle do work with msfs2024, just not the G1000 panels.

I did get my Trims and Radios to work in MSFS2024 with the previous release VFHub 1.3.1 and Radios firmware 2.0.1

But yesterday after updating to VFHub 1.3.2 and Radios firmware 2.0.2 both the Trims and Radios completely stopped working.

After switching back to VFHub 1.3.1 my Trims worked again and the Radios can send frequencies to the simulator but the Radios display only displays the interface framework no values are read from the simulator.
I think if I could rollback the Radios firmware they would also work again but I can’t do thant.

Last night I repotted this back to VF and the are looking into the problem. I have a remote support session with VF later today.
I will try to keep you informed.

Are you using MSFS2024 with VFHub 1.3.1 firmware 2.0.1 or 1.3.2 firmware 2.0.2?
I also have problems with VFHub 1.3.2 firmware 2.0.2
You also need to buy a license from VF website for the G1000 panel to work in the Switcho Radios.
At the bottom of the Radios product page there is an option to buy the panel software license.

@Dutchy60 and I conducted a remote session to resolve the issue he was having with the Switcho Trims and Switcho Radios from Virtual Fly, and everything is now fixed and working properly. The issue was caused by a bug in VFHub version 1.3.2 with MSFS2024, which will be resolved in the next release. Therefore, we installed VFHub version 1.3.1 and firmware version 2.0.1 for the Switcho Radios. In the coming days, we will keep you updated on all application updates and the resolution of minor errors we discover. This is to ensure that all users across different platforms have the best possible experience with our devices.

If you have installed the game through Steam, it is possible that the panels with integrated G1000 may not work. We are working on this to ensure it functions automatically. If you don’t want to wait for future versions where this feature will be available, I kindly ask you to contact Virtual Fly’s support email, and we’ll resolve the issue in 5 minutes with a remote session. The email is as follows: support@virtual-fly.com
If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to let me know!

The possibility of having different profiles within the VFHub application is currently being studied by the Software Development Team, but it is not a priority at the moment. If you want to use different profiles, MSFS offers the option to create multiple profiles with different sensitivity curves.

If you want this functionality, you will need to disable the devices in the VFHub application and assign all axes/buttons directly within the simulation platform. Once assigned, you will have the ability to adjust sensitivity curves for each profile you create.

I hope this helps!

What versions are you now using?

  • VFHub verstion?
  • Switcho Radios firmware version?

Wat VF device do you own and combine in the VFHub software?

I’m using the latest vhub version, with the following

  • TQ6+ throttle
  • yoko+
  • VF G1000 panels

Sorry for asking again but what is the specific VFHub version 1.3.1 or 1.3.6

Do the G1000 panels also have a specific firmware version?

My VF setup is:
Yoko+
TQ6
Switcho Trims
Switcho Radio

The VF devices on my shortlist to buy are:
Switcho Engines
Switcho Lights

You have the G1000 with 1 or with 2 panels?
I am still not fond off the fact that you can only use them with an airplane that has G1000 panels.

Thanks.
