I think i know to wich person you refer on YT. I also know, that he is not giving the plane an honest chance by the way he uses it. That’s my opinion.
Same…my biggest issue were the horrible interior textures for both Bredok3d 737 and Virticol E Series.
Luckily both have addon visual improvement support at flightsim.to. Hopefully you all get these sort of improvement textures on XBox one day.

Thanks for the links to these mods. I’m building a PC soon so will be able to use those there. Not sure when (if ever) these types of mods will be available on xbox. The overhead panel of the 737 in particular looks like a plastic children’s toy, although the main panel isn’t too bad.

I’ve already filled my 512GB SD in MSFS addons like it was nothing.
I regret not buying a 1 or 2 TB SD.
People slag off the embraer 190/195 but let’s compare it to the aerosoft crj:
- Emb has wing flex. Crj does not
- Emb you can move the cockpit camera into the cabin, crj not
- Emb has more liveries
- Emb is a lot cheaper
- Emb loads faster
Now it’s true the modeling of the emb has some problems like a beacon inside the cabin and cabin windows with broken texture around them and a gap between the cockpit and the cabin but these could be fixed. The crj hasn’t been touched for a while AFAIK.
This is why it’s a subjective thing. Your list of reasons doesn’t resonate with everyone. Let’s go point by point.
- Wing flex isn’t something you will watch out of the cockpit. It’s something passengers observe. So… who cares?
- Cabin - this is a simulator of being a pilot, not a passenger. Besides checking out the cabin once during my initial “tour” of the aircraft? I never go there again. I am here to fly it, not be a passenger.
- Liveries is something you see when flying from the outside. Again, something I never experience in 99% of my time in the sim.
- Cheaper and worse is not really a value.
- CRJ only loads for a long time ONCE. After that, it’s not an issue.
In the meantime, CRJ’s autopilot actually operates as the autopilot in CRJ does. In the VirtualCol ERJ? It’s nothing at all like the real workflow of the aircraft. Performance numbers are off, everything is off. It’s not anything close to an accurate simulation. The CRJ? Yeah, it has some issues, but it’s way closer.
Since SU9 the Eambrear is broken, on Xbox at least. It won’t load the flightplan created in the World Map anymore… What a bummer.
Is there anyone on Xbox who has the same issue??
Same on pc no flightplan in FMC. You can’t even load it manually. I have sent an email to Virtualcol support about it.

Flight plan loaded into ATC only as I’ll get IFR clearance, but not into FMC. The FMC is totally unresponsive.
Deleted, cache cleared and reinstalled and the problem still persists.
Shame, as before that, it was a decent plane to fly regionals with.

Yes, a real shame. It was my go to plane since the 190/195’s came out, and i was enjoing it very much. Really love flying the regional routes…
It sounds like you are having problems with your custom MFD and CDU.
Rewriting each CDU and MFD in panel.cfg will temporarily make them visible.

On xbox we have to wait for the manufacturer to fix it.
Yes same issue since SIM update 9, non responsive FCM, flight plan can’t be downloaded from world map
Same here tested with both pc and Xbox emailed the developers about and waiting for a response. No fmc on both systems pc or Xbox clean uninstalls on both . Hopefully they get this sorted out .
This works at least for pc.

I apologize the inconvenience this situation is generating to you. At this moment our developers are reviewing and working in the patch, because in the beta of simupdate 9 this problem not happened. We hope before this weekend the problem will be solved and upload to marketplace and stores, hoping the next week it’s ready.
At least I’m glad they picked it up and working on a fix. I don’t have hope the patch will be available next week however, because sometimes it takes ages for MS/Asobo to approve things. Maybe this case will be different? I hope so.
The Virtualcol payware is complete junk compared to most freeware we have like the Sukhoi Superjet 100. Of course it loads faster than the CRJ, as there isn’t anything much to load.
The interior is garbage that isn’t even standard quality FS2004 textures.
It doesn’t hold a candle to anything regarding the Aerosoft CRJ.
Vritualcol wins by default for now for folks who need the Embraer itch scratched …
I would advise folks to just wait for these devs to release
Or to simply fly the much better freeware Sukhoi Superjet 100.
If you desire such a smaller two engine airframe.
Wing flex and liveries are not just for passengers: plenty of people including me like to fly in external view.
