It looks like an A220 was released for the marketplace, but the description mentions ‘NO REAL COCKPIT’. I’m new to MSFS, but does this mean none of the switches in the cockpit are modeled/simulated?
Virtualcol is a budget brand that is for casual users that aren’t focused on systems-simulations. The modeling may be realistic (albiet simplified) but the avionics used are likely from default Asobo stock. The developers use English as a second+ language, so that may be part of the confusion. There are a couple of preview/review videos online both by Virtualcol themselves and other users which show a functioning cockpit, but it may not be in depth or realistic based on the real aircraft. I recommend searching for this addon on Youtube to review for yourself.
As a SIM enthusiast and LAYMAN, I have to say that I feel satisfied with their aircraft on Xbox. Fully accessible, zero black screens, fun to fly. Meets my expectations.
Moved to Discussion Hub Aircraft since not support related.
for the price, this plane is a really great option for Xbox users !!
quite realistics cockpit sounds . minimum calls !!!
there’s some little bugs but no black screen , no stutters .
i hope there will be some updates
great purchase : 4/5
And for next year their plan is to bring the Dash 8 family. I confess that I’m looking forward to this launch.
A220 and Dash 8 would be two of the planes I’d buy tomorrow if they were available, but they’ll need to be high fidelity for me. While there’s definitely a market for sort-of-like aeroplanes and nothing wrong with that, I’ve been there and done that and don’t plan to go back!
I actually cant believe how bad this thing is. I thought it would be lower fidelity comparable to the free default Asobo A320. This thing is actually somehow worse and The autopilot is basically useless with no VNAV
They did say don’t expect full system operation. If you have to have that then there are much more expensive options.
disregard.
unfortunately this is because you do not know how to use it…
the planes works quiet well.
low resolution cocpkit indeed, but with the low resolution ground textures we got now outside on Xbox x , it doesn’t really matter and makes no many visual differences .
personnaly i hate to have a cockpit full high resolution with such bad outside ground textures, it’s better for the eyes
Excuse me? I do know how to use it. Its a basic default autopilot that lacks features that make autopilot actually lower a pilots workload. There is clearly no VNAV sir so im not sure what you are talking about. Distance remaining number doesnt move either. I had a hard time deciding when to calculate TOD as the plane only shows distance to the very next immediate waypoint. Also I was on VATSIM and couldnt even tell the controller where I was as the PROG button doesnt work. I knew it wasnt going to be all the bells and whistles of a real A220 but I expected some basic navigation things to work.
Where can I buy the A220 today?
Just avoid this product its not worth it and don’t waste your money. They have been selling this nonsense since the FSX days maybe longer, nothing more to say its bottom of the barrel of payware addons.
