ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue: Cirrus Vison Jet does not respond to flap events sent from SPAD-Next (all other aircraft with flaps do)
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
100% of the time
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
Use SPADnext (or a native peripheral driver) to send FLAP events (FLAPS_UP, FLAPS_DOWN, FLAPS_INCR or FLAPS_DECR
Notice that flaps do not respond. Expected the respond like on all other aircraft
Notice that the GEN 2 AMP display on the Right MFD jumps up and down a bit when the event is sent.
The only way I can get flaps to work is to use the Keyboard V and B keys (or with some difficulty using the mouse on the cockpit lever) - I really want to use my panel with a physical flaps lever.
YOUR SETTINGS
If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.
What peripherals are you using, if relevant:
[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it? NO
[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12?
[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use? AMD 9070XT
[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share? SPADNext - Logitech Panel - Nothing but spad in community directory.
NOTE: another user previously entered this bug and it was moved. Several other people have duplicated with different panels and software in that thread. It is a problem with the Vision Jet, not with the multiple panels and software packages that are having the issue.
Sorry it’s the flaps lever. I’ve corrected the original post. Thanks for pointing it out.
I may be just not getting the flaps lever interaction correctly in the cockpit, but the not responding to events issue has been reported by multiple users with multiple software/hardware setups in the thread linked above
Thanks for pointing to the other thread.
I am wondering if you succeed to fix the underlying issue with moving the flaps using the mouse if it will also fix the event issue ?. You should investigate this one.
Ok I played around with the mouse more, with great trial and error I get get the flaps lever to move with my mouse. Maybe I’m just bad at figuring out the cockpit interface, I use it as little as possible and prefer to use my joystick, throttle and saitek panels.
If I still can I’ll edit my original post to remove the mouse point.
Hm. I wonder what happens if you try Flaps 1, 2, 3 instead. This is the same configuration I took from my 2020 installation. Works fine on MS/WT Vision Jet.
Adding any of the flaps events to my joystick in MSFS2024 control settings works.
However adding the events to my Saitek Panel Flaps lever via SPADnext does not work for the Vision Jet. However this works for all other aircraft I have tested. (I’m using the exact same profile for all aircraft) And there is no way to map the Saitek panel in MSFS without a third party tool.
Combining this with the feedback from the other thread we have:
Sending FlapEvents from any of the following software:
SPADnext
FSUIpc
Saitek Panel Driver
Works for all aircraft tested (20+) except the Cirrus VisonJet. This really seems to be an issue with the VisionJet not with 3 separate software packages. (SPAD and FSUIpc and Saitek Driver)
Basically the Vision jet is not responding correctly to the Flap events in the published sim connect API.
Note: Aircraft it does work with:
