ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:While using the Logitech multi panel, the flap handle will not operate the flaps. This only happens on the Vision Jet not any other A/C. When you try, you see a momentary flash on the generator amperage but no flap movement. This has happened on all loads for weeks now.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? All of the time

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. start flight

  2. try adjusting the flaps

  3. no results

Thank you for this report. We’ve moved your topic into the User Support Hub.

The Bug Reporting Hub is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug report. Using the template or providing all the relevant information about your bug and sim setup is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.

If you are not sure if your issue is a bug or need further input from the community, please use the User Support Hub category. If the community can replicate your issue, first search the Bug category to see if there’s an existing topic. If it already exists, contribute to that report. Duplicate bug reports will be closed.

If you believe it is a new report and no duplicate exists, then create a new bug topic using the provided topic template.

If you disconnect your panel and operate the jet using only keyboard / mouse, and the flaps work either through the virtual cockpit (click on flaps using mouse pointer) or using preset keyboard command mapping, then it’s something about your panel. Many sophisticated yokes, panels have predefined mappings that step on standard sim commands. HoneyComb and TM AirBus TQs for example - have predefined switch behavior that interferes with standard aircraft ignition and electric bus behavior.

Since my panel works with all other aircraft, that eliminates the panel itself.

But if it works without the panel - i.e., use Keyboard/Mouse, then that points to the panel. Kinda Catch-22 but it’s also a matter of elimination.

Same issue here, its not just you. its been like that for awhile…only on Cirrus SF50

This solution kind of sucks because it costs money but the blame should fall on Logitech rather than Microsoft in this instance. Logitech hasn’t updated the drivers for those panels in forever and don’t seem like they ever will. Support is very lacking from them. I have their panels and I really enjoy them but buying a program like spad.next or axis and ohs really is becoming more and more necessary as the original drivers fall more and more out of date.

True enough, I agree. I am torn between them not supporting a product that is numerous throughout the world, but on the other hand…how long is a company expected to support an old product?

I agree though…not much of a chance of being fixed by anyone.

For as long as they are still selling it in my opinion. If they ceased production of them then I’d agree but…

I can confirm that I am now having this identical issue on the vision jet while using the honeycomb bravo with bindings set via SPAD.Next. interestingly, this seems to affect both the flap axis on the throttle quadrant as well as the bi-directional flap switch above the throttle quadrant. Just like OP, when I manipulate either of these controls, I see a brief spike in the voltage in the aircraft but the flap configuration does not change. I have to manually click the flap control with my mouse in order to get the flaps to move. I have confirmed that there is no control binding conflict within MSFS itself, and the issue persists even if I close and restart MSFS or SPAD.

I am using MSFS 2024 with Sim update 4.

I have the same experience with my GoFlight flaps lever, programmed through FSUIPC.

My guess is that the SF50 logic continuously sets the flaps according to the cockpit switch that immediately takes over any setting from external peripherals.

(flaps work correctly with any other aircraft I fly)

exact same behaviour (MSFS2024, bravo, spad.next).
Only difference is I can’t operate the cockpit flap control with mouse but maybe I don’t do the correct way …

Just a guess here, I haven’t had time to check it out. But, It may have something to do with the ISP logic setting for de-ice condition .

Same here - Vision Jet is not responding to Flaps Up / Flaps Down or Flaps INCR / Flaps DECR events sent by SPAD next.

All other aircraft with flaps I have tried respond correctly. (A310, A320, A321LR, A330, B787-10, B747-8, CJ-4, P24, Bonanza etc.

I’ve re-entered a bug for this. Vote for it or comment if it is affecting you

I have same issue with Vision Jet. Interestingly I do get voltage drop with audible feedback and a flaps overspeed warning if pressed accidentally in flight, but no movement.

Sorry I am new.. how do I vote/comment? I’ve been dealing with this issue for months now using Logi AP panel.

I have these panels too and flaps work on every plane I have tried and does not work on the vision jet. I use my throttle flap control lever but it is all flap or no flaps to get in-between setting I have to use the keyboard.

This equipment is over twenty years old and I was using them back on MSFS X it is good for MSFS 2020 but not 2024 completely, still works though for the most part.
