Volanta CPU temp & voltage spikes

Just today I tried a 3 hrs flight using Volanta, a free network flight tracking, very helpful when flying on VATSIM or IVAO.
suddenly my CPU voltages were reaching 120 W when TDP is 65 W (i710700) and temperatures were higher than normal, about 80-85 degrees, when my normal temps never reach 70 degrees at full CPU load ( I have a MSI coreliquid 240R watercooling.
first I was thinking was AIG traffic controller or some bug related with MSFS weather servers, then I quit AIG but CPU temp spikes continued.
Then I tried to quit Volanta and voila, CPU temps and load came back to normal.
This is an advise for volanta users , please report your feedback in this post. I don’t know if it’s only on my rig or is a general issue .
Best Regards,

Neo Mallorca.

Sorry this is happening to you! I use Volanta and haven’t experienced this that I’m aware of even on long flights, but will keep an eye out for it in the future.

I can confirm - a fresh install of volanta on a new, updated PC, using more than 7% CPU on a 5900hx. This is more than OBS and half of what msfs uses. Too much for a “background” app (shows as high power usage as well)

In my case, volanta uses 10% cpu.ina i7 10700
Too much for a background tracking app.
