  2. Open the Mixed Reality Portal app

  3. On the lower-left corner of the app select See More

To access VR mode (currently only available once loaded into a flight):

  6. Before launching the sim, first launch the Mixed Reality Portal from the Windows Start Menu.

  7. With the Mixed Reality Portal running in the background, launch Microsoft Flight Simulator!

  8. Once in the sim, setup and launch a Free Flight as you normally would.

  9. Once your flight has loaded and you are in the cockpit, press CTRL+TAB to enter VR mode.

  10. Put on your headset, look straight ahead, and re-center the camera by pressing SPACEBAR.

Setting Expectations

We would like to set a few expectations for how we would like to approach this feedback effort.

  • The VR mode represents in-progress work and the quality of your experience will likely vary based on your system specs.
  • We will be working hard to prioritize work so that we can deliver a great experience – your input can help inform these priorities!
  • We encourage constructive and honest feedback and want Beta members to focus on helping improve the VR experience. Keeping feedback focused, usable, and concrete will be most helpful!
  • We want to have an open and inclusive environment and do not want to see unnecessary negativity or personal attacks on the forums. We will have a low tolerance for this unhelpful behavior.
For any general questions about the VR Closed Beta, please reach out to support@flightsimulator.zendesk.com for support.
We appreciate your participation and genuinely look forward to your feedback!
    Sincerely,

Microsoft Flight Simulator Team
