I’d love to fly multiplayer but as yet don’t know how to get involved with a group. An invite or explanation is needed. Thanks
Thats a pretty wide request you’re throwing out there. Nobody can answer you because its too big of a question.
There are lots of ways to get a more immersive online thing going, but it depends on your interests. If you’re just looking for some people to casually chat with while you fly, or goof around… The the MSFS Discord is just the place for you, there are always people in there doing things.
if you’re looking for something more serious, maybe one of the online Air Traffic systems is for you… Vatsim is worth a look if thats what you’re after.
But just saying you want to fly with others doesn’t help anyone point you the right direction. People need to know what you want.
Good luck to you no matter how you decide to do it, there are lots of options.
Well I’ll put it this way. I’ve been flying around in msfs by myself for 8 months. I keep reading about how much fun it is to fly multiplayer. I would love to fly a low and slow trip from anywhere to anywhere but I don’t have a clue how to find some way to let someone know I’d like to do that. I use Xbox s and I know I can’t chat with anyone and don’t really want to. Would love to meet up on an airport with some like minded flyers and go somewhere. I keep reading that I can invite friends but I have no friends that fly msfs. That’s about all I can tell you.
Have you tried the Find a Friend category here on the forum?
Try Twitch. You can fly with the person streaming and everyone that follow in their group.
I recommend you check out BeMint
She’s from Germany, but streams in English. Very friendly pilot and always welcomes new comers.
She usually stream 3-4 times per week. Her streams start at around 12:00pm Eastern USA.
You want to fly with some others, but you don’t want to talk to them ???
Well,fly alone.
Have you thought about how to communicate;which plane, where to go,what altitude etc…
Never mind,
Scott
Have a look here as we have a flying event on Sunday
You are more than welcome to join
Don‘t be too harsh. Not everyone may be comfortable with spoken English, or otherwise not being fond of talking with strangers.
But no worries, there are plenty of options to find your buddies:

Just join an event! While personally listening and talking to others is all the fun for me no one forces you to even join their Discord (chat) server. Just fly along.
Hi there im also on xbox.
If you would like to find other folk to fly with press your xbox button either on yout home screen on when loaded into the game, when your side menu drops down there is a heading titled “groups” there will be a few folk who are also looking to fly together, look through the list of available invites and select which one you fancy and select “im interested”.
Its a great way to make new friends and enjoy group activities.
Its alot of fun.
I hope this helps.
Fly safe o7
One way to get into multiplayer is to join one of the Microsoft Official flying events held every Friday. These are posted on the Events calendar. You can choose whether to join talking to others on the MSFS Discord server or you can chat on the Twitch channel or even just fly with others and listen.
Am the same. I fly alone but like the idea of flying in a group without having to engage in chat. I dont mind if others talk. Each to their own.
I’m sure you’ve checked out the events calendar. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/c/community/community-fly-in-events/143/l/calendar
It’s full of multiplayer events that you can join without commitment. Sometimes you may be required to join a Discord server to get updated flight information, but you are under no obligation to participate in live chat. Feel free to give any of them a try (I would shamelessly plug my own events but I’m way too shy )
Here is another streamer that streams multiplayer streams twice a week that are open to anyone that wants to join in. The good thing about streams is if you are nervous you can quietly watch for a bit first before joining in.
Load the DISCORD app on your phone, or a tablet or computer. Then go to one of our invotes, and that will load you as a member in the voice chat. It’s FREE, and we can talk you through the rest. Come join us, We would love to have you fly with us! Texas Props Crews
Thanks. This is helpful. More so than the guy that said fly by myself. Well there’s not a way to use Xbox in discord so I can’t talk to anyone anyway. I’ll check out the group thing in the Xbox like you recommend
Fly on XBox, run discord on your ipad.
